Build 1.2.8 Live

This update fix's the following:

1. Changing Fullscreen/windowed mode & resolution.
2. FOV & Audio settings.
3. Collision issues in the RMS maps going into third class.
4. HMHS Regal collision issue.
5. Non existing stair collision in HMHS Night Free cam.
6. Mouse hiding in the legal page of the menu.

The game breaking issue of the game crashing when changing the resolution was actually due to the version of the UE4 engine the game used, not the programing of the game itself. This bug was tied to how the engine used DirectX 11 when changing screen modes. The only solution for fixing this was migrating the entire game to a different version of the engine.

Since this newer version of the engine changes how UE4 does lighting, all of the levels needed adjusting so they were not extremely bright. The levels should more or less match how they looked in the old version's of the game.

This migration also broke a number of small things such as Robin and Info box's, but all should be working fine now.

Build 1.2.3 Live

The latest build is now live, and it will be a large update.

You can read on the full situation in our Guarantee Group, but in short a new project was generated during the making of this re haul to the UI, so steam will see each file as "new" and replace all previous game files. This is why the update is around 8 GB.

Here is a brief summary on what has changed:

1. New UI: The old UI system never worked as intended and instead of using duck tape to try and fix it, a new menu system was put in place that should clean up any bugs & issues the old one had. Such as FOV & audio setting's resetting each time a level was loaded.
2. Bug Fix's: over the last two months, all major bugs reported here or in the Guarantee Group have been dealt with for the most part. This includes the major issue of being in the RMS Regal suite teleporting you in the bathroom, GSC lighting issues & broken gates in the exterior tour.
3. Sailing Level: Because of the demand of people wanting back the dedicated night time exterior levels, they have been added back but with a twist. The level has been modified so the ship is constantly sailing forever. This is for both RMS & HMHS levels.

This should fix most issues regarding the game in terms of a functioning standpoint. However since the game was migrated to a new project, its possible some new issues will show up.

Please report any major issues you see either here or in our Guarantee Group in order to be seen and addressed.

It should also be noted currently this update is only for windows users only at this time. A Mac version of the update hopefully should come down the road.

Where Is The Update?

Many I'm sure have been wondering when this next update that fix's a number of bugs and also the UI coming out? Its been more than a month!

The short of it is that its still being worked on and is on its way. Almost all of the major bugs that people have reported are actually already fixed, the major thing left is the UI.

Because the main programmer has had real life responsibilities come up that limit the amount of time he can devote to the programing, this is the final thing that is preventing the next update from being released.

This is due to the fact that the entire menu needs to be redone with this new system and then bug tested which can take a very long time.

We felt that a update on the situation was needed so it did not seem like people were left in the dark and it looked abandoned.

One thing the programmer hopes to bring back is the dedicated night time level (which will clutter the menu up a little, but people really want this feature back) for the exteriors. But this time a twist will be applied, as the ship will be sailing forever during these new night time levels.

Updates In The Future

We are still working on some updates to improve or address some more feedback we have gotten from customers.

Here is a run down on what hopefully will be coming soon in some future updates

1) A re-hauled UI: As everyone is probably aware, there are a number of problems with the current UI & menu system, especially in the settings department. It was decided that rather than trying to make this not so great system working with a duck tape method, a new more streamlined and robust menu system was going to be needed. Thus a whole new UI will be coming down the road that will hopefully fix most of the problems currently present.

2)Bug Fixes: People have been reporting a few more small bugs, ranging from a problem in the hmhs B Deck suite, problems with the RMS Night time mode with interiors and some spelling mistakes. These are being worked on and will probably be released as a minor update prior to the new UI.

Once these two main issue's are addressed, that should be it in terms of any major updates needing for the desktop versions. Currently for the VR build, a method for trying to get teleportation and locomotion movement in the same game is being worked on but there are no guarantees that this will work, but hopefully can also be added in the future.

Currently our interior modelers are busy making cabins and other spaces for Titanic and is unknown when they will be getting the time to add any new spaces to Britannic ATM, but these next bunch of updates should fix any regarding functionality problems with the game.

Build 1.1.3 For Mac Live

Mac users have had to wait a while, but the current PC build is now live for Mac users.

The major thing missing from launch for Mac users was no RMS Exterior, this was due to how last minute the exterior was added to the game and there was no time to get a Mac build. It was decided to wait a little while before doing more builds for Mac due to the time it takes to do one for Apple products.
