Update 4.0 alpha.



The main theme of this update is global game optimization. Most of the elements of the game world were optimized, as a result of this work, the size of the game increased by more than 5 times. This is not the last stage of optimization, in future updates even more game objects and the forest will be optimized, the quality of optimization of which does not suit me yet. In addition, the bow was introduced into the game, the player will be able to create it on the carpenter workbench. Arrows can be used repeatedly, provided that the player does not shoot at hard surfaces such as metal or stone. The rudiments of farming and cooking were also introduced. The player will also be able to find fuel cans and refuel the train if necessary. In addition, you can now fill plastic dishes with dirty water from rivers and lakes and boil it on an electric stove to clean it.

Update 3.0 Alpha



A new save system has been implemented. Now the game is saved automatically every 2 minutes, this can help not to lose progress in the game in cases where the player is stuck in the game location. You can also create your own save at any time in the game. Tests were conducted and if you encounter the problem of the disappearance of interaction with the train or the immortal zombie, you can save the game and restart it to continue without losing the gameplay. A compact crafting table was also introduced on which you can make elementary tools and a carpentry table. The dagger was implemented in the game, which will allow you to apply stealth tactics by killing zombies from the back, in case you were not discovered. Other improvements and bug fixes can be found below in the list.

New "version number" system This is a version 3.0 and each next big update with new features will add +1 to number before dot, while small update with bug fixes and small improvements will add +1 to number after dot. Such approach is better than classic where 1.0 it is a final version, because I don't know how many updates required to the final version and it allows to increase version number with each update without issues with limitations.

Thanks to the active participation of the gaming community, screenshots with an activated debugger were obtained. This allowed me to identify and correct the error that supposedly led to the disappearance of interactivity with the train. After the correction, many hours of testing were conducted, and the error did not show itself! Test localization was also introduced, at the moment the translation was carried out by the translator, but will gradually be replaced by the literary translation.

At the moment, the game has a serious bug that prevents the player from interacting with the train controls and the furniture inside it.
Unfortunately, this bug has not yet occurred to me either before the game was launched in early access or after it, as a result, I still cannot study it and fix it. I decided to enter a small debug console, which, as I hope, will help to detect this bug. I will post a description of using debug in the Steam group and in the discord channel. In addition, the inventory system was finalized to provide maximum usability. Other changes you can find below.

Bugs fixed

  • Implemented debug, which should help in identifying the cause of the bug with the disappearance of interactivity with the train. After the release, a topic will be fixed with explanations of how it will be possible to use it.
  • Fixed a bug that, when loading the game, threw off the effect on the transferred weight from pumping strength.
  • A bug was fixed with a through wall at the railway station into which zombies could go.
  • Fixed a bug in which if the player held the item’s icon with the mouse and pressed the "G" button, the item’s icon would hang.
  • Burning cars did not cause damage to the player and zombies.
  • Most bugs related to houses in the location with the city were handled. Including the missing staircase due to which the player was stuck in the courtyard of the house.
  • Fixed a bug in which at low levels of graphics settings, at night, objects and the train had a weak glow.




Improvements

  • Increased effect for maximum carry load with increased strength.
  • Improved interaction with the door. Now you can close the door when you hover over it and not just at the doorway.
  • Added 2 types of weapons and body armor.
  • If the zombie was deprived of an attacking hand, the range of attack will be reduced.

  • It was decided to abandon the player’s overload. It was difficult if the zombie burst into the room when the player was overloaded.

Update 0.102 alpha



It was noticed several significant bugs that to some extent broke the passing game. In this update, I tried to fix these errors. The main bug was the departure of the character from the train, in the previous update I created an emergency braking function if the character flew out of the train, but the character could get stuck in geometry under the train. Some layers that could cause a push were disabled, but this is still an assumption since I could not find this bug in my testing yet. Therefore, the physical collider of the character was additionally underestimated so that the player crouching could get out of the train and return to it. A bug was also noticed when the character lost interactivity with workbench and cabinets in the train. The interactivity system has been redesigned, I think this should help. Please let me know if the above bugs show themselves again! The remaining less important changes can be found in the list below.
