About The New Price

Why the change?
Lowering the price supports our goal of expanding the player base and ensuring long-term support.
Is this a permanent price change or a limited-time offer?
This is a permanent change, based on direct community feedback and long-term goals for the game.
Will DLCs be discounted too?
Yes. The cosmetic packs are now $4.99 USD and the supporter packs are $2.99 USD.
Do prices vary by region?
Yes, by a slight margin. Steam (and other platforms) adjust pricing based on local currencies. While the global base price has been lowered, the exact local price is set according to each region’s recommended pricing guidelines.
I’m still seeing the old price. What should I do?
Try refreshing your storefront or checking back shortly, sometimes there’s a short delay in global pricing rollout. If issues persist, please report them via our Zendesk!
Game Content

Has any content been removed to justify the price drop?
No. The full game remains intact, and in fact, we’re continuing to add content and improvements at no additional cost.
Refund Policy

I bought the game at full price. Will I be refunded or compensated?
While we’re not offering refunds, please know we couldn’t have come this far without you. Your enthusiasm and feedback have helped shape the game into what it is today.
I bought the game just before the price drop, can I refund and re-buy it?
Refunds are handled by the platform (Steam, Epic, etc.) and subject to their specific refund policy. If you’re within the refund window, you may be eligible.

Federation Preview: The Underbarrel and the FedNet Camera
Attention, Citizens and Future Infantry!
The Federation grants you an exclusive first look at the latest battlefield enhancements, ensuring our brave troopers maintain absolute superiority over the Arachnid threat.

We want you to be ready for what FAS Research and Development has been working on, so we have released this preview. Let's begin, shall we?

The Morita Mk1 Underbarrel Shotgun is designed for close-quarters combat efficiency, delivering devastating firepower at point-blank range. When facing a Bug swarm in tight tunnels or urban engagements, a single blast clears the way for uninterrupted extermination. Chambered for high-impact rounds, this attachment guarantees maximum lethality with minimal engagement time. Want to get up close and personal with a Warrior Bug? This is your new best friend.

Hear from our R&D team and the designer of the Underbarrel on what they have to say about the project and arming fellow troopers:

While the Morita Mk1 rifles deployed to the Mobile Infantry at large have long featured an underbarrel attachment, the DSV initially deployed to the Valaka Campaign with a stock of Moritas that dropped the iconic underbarrel shotgun. Testing simulations showed that this variant felt more accurate to troopers, and the lack of extra firepower wasn’t missed.

That quickly changed when boots hit the ground, and our brave Vanguard troopers began staring down the jaws of Archie Warriors as sandstorms swirled around them. Vanguard Troopers started demanding their shotguns back to help fend off the Arachnid Menace, and after following all appropriate logistical protocols, DSV Command has answered. To make sure that the limited stock of Morita Mk1s with Underbarrels doesn’t disappear rapidly, DSV Command is authorizing deployment to more experienced troopers. This quick thinking by Command has reduced trooper field casualties by a spectacular 3%.

Troopers who have a Morita Mk1 Weapon Mastery 6 or greater will be able to attach an underbarrel to their rifle via the loadout menu. The underbarrel comes with a 4-round internal tube as well as 8 additional shells for reload at the cost of one of your traditional Morita Mk1 magazines. Additionally, the extra weight of the Underbarrel causes the weapon to be a bit heavy on the frontend causing it to be a bit more inaccurate when firing on the move or from a standing position.

“We worked alongside the Morita corporation to develop a whole new lightweight variant for the classic Morita rifle specifically for the DSV. But upon identifying unforeseen performance issues in the field, we had to figure out a way to bring back what troopers loved about the shotgun attached to the older model and make it work for the newer model at only 98.7% of the previous materials weight. What some may see as a redundant expenditure of department funds, I see as succeeding twice…” - RnD

Meanwhile, the FedNet Camera ensures that every heroic moment of Mobile Infantry action is documented. These battlefield-hardened, and combat-tested broadcast units provide state of the newsreel feeds directly to the Federal Network and all our loyal citizens back home. Not only does this aid in battlefield analysis, and training, but it also ensures every citizen can witness the heroic deeds of our valiant Mobile Infantry and give our troopers an extra morale boost in the field!

Due to logistical complexities, and regrettable deployment security incidents, our Vanguard Troopers will be able to recover these FedNet Cameras during their regular combat missions. Equipping them puts the trooper behind the lens, letting them frame the action and provide boosts to their fellow soldiers. Simply point at a future war hero-in-the-making, and voila! As you document their actions, you’ll receive LIVE Approval rating updates from the citizens and civilians back home!

Maintaining Approval ratings benefits us all - but most importantly our troopers on the battlefield. Approved broadcasts provide boosted XP gains for all troopers near a FedNet Camera or who are featured directly in the feed. More heroic actions, generate higher approval, and provide larger boosts to troopers.

“The Federation is extremely satisfied with our engineer’s fast work in adapting decades-old technology for deployment on the frontlines. This breakthrough is a testament to our technical superiority over the Bugs, only we could create something so reasonably user-friendly and man-portable that any M.I. grunt could handle it. It requires only the dedicated use of both hands and the Trooper’s full care and attention. Due to risk of sudden immolation, Troopers are reminded to avoid direct gunfire and explosives near an operating FedNet Camera.” – Omni

Starship Troopers: Extermination Development Update (April 4th, 2025)
Hello fellow Troopers!
First and foremost, let’s take a moment to catch our breath now that Quarter 1 is officially behind us. What a hectic and productive quarter it has been for all of us! We’ve been hard at work, and I’m proud to say that we successfully released two major patches during this period. These updates not only addressed a variety of bugs but also included numerous optimizations that have helped improve the overall gaming experience. We also introduced exciting new features, such as the staged reload, Galactic Perks, and weather effects, just to name a few. But I want to stress—this is only the beginning! We’ve got so much more in store for the future, and Quarter 2 is shaping up to be just as thrilling.

So, what can we expect from Quarter 2? Let’s dive into what’s coming up next:

Update 1.4 is currently scheduled for release in mid-May. This update will focus on optimizing bug pathing, which means our Bugs will behave better on the navigation mesh and get stuck less often in the environment. We’ve also heard your feedback, and we’re excited to introduce the highly requested Fednet Heroism feature, as well as the often talked-about underbarrel attachment for the Morita MK1. These additions will provide more tactical options and enhancements to your gameplay experience.

WIP of capturing some cool Agni weather

Now, let’s take a sneak peek at Update 1.5:

In Update 1.5, we are hard at work bringing the Morita MK2 Weapon to the game a weapon briefly featured in the films. This addition will give you a new, powerful way to take on the Arachnid menace.

But that’s not all. Phase 1 of the Galactic Front changes will also be coming in Update 1.5. We’ve gathered a ton of feedback regarding the Galactic Front, especially around accessibility and the process of launching and playing Company Operations. With these changes, we’ll be removing the need for companies to purchase Company Ops. Instead, Company Ops will now be available in the Play menu as a rotating list of operations that are tied to certain milestones. Additionally, we’ll be adding a Quickplay option specifically for Company Ops, making it even easier to jump into the action. Intel will still be gathered through general missions, and in Phase 2, later this year, Intel will become the primary currency for leveling up and expanding your Company’s size and customization options. We’ll have more details on Phase 1 changes in a June developer blog, so stay tuned!

Current WIP for new Match Selection Screen coming in 1.5

Lastly, we’re excited to introduce our Dynamic Sky System to X-11, and we’ll continue to refine and improve this feature over time. I forgot one last thing, we’ve also got a little surprise planned for Update 1.5 that will make you rethink your approach to a certain game mode.

That’s all for this month, Troopers! We’ll talk again soon, but in the meantime, we’ll see you in-game!

Please be mindful that everything below is subject to change based on the development progress and testing outcomes.

Update Love: Announcing Bugs and Kisses 2

Greetings, troopers! The hive has been buzzing with excitement, and we’re finally ready to share a sneak peek at what’s in store for Bugs & Kisses 2: Would You Like to Know More… About My Feelings?

We heard your feedback loud and clear: you wanted deeper romance, more intergalactic drama, and, of course, even more multi-limbed lovers to get tangled up with. So we’ve been working hard to bring you new mechanics, fresh storylines, and a love life so intense it’ll make your E-Pulse race. Here’s what’s coming in Bugs & Kisses 2!

In a universe where war rages between humanity and the relentless Arachnid hordes, one truth remains: even Bugs need love.

Welcome to Bugs & Kisses 2: Would You Like to Know More… About My Feelings?, the Starship Troopers-inspired dating sim where romance is just as intense as intergalactic combat. Will you win the heart of a battle-hardened officer? Share a tender moment with a drone? Or find yourself caught in an eight-legged love triangle?

Flirt, fight, and forge bonds that could change the fate of the galaxy. Because in the war for survival, sometimes the greatest victory… is love.

Who says romance and war don’t mix? In Bugs & Kisses 2, your relationships will affect your “performance”.
 • But be warned: if things go south in your relationship, it may affect morale, leading to missed shots or panicked retreats.
 • Some Bugs thrive in high-pressure situations. Will your romance survive the battlefield, or will the war tear you apart?
This time around, you’re not the only one looking for love. Other troopers AND Bugs might try to steal your heart or your sweetheart!
 • Engage in diplomatic persuasion (or aggressive intimidation) to keep potential rivals at bay.
 • Your love interest might be flattered… or annoyed depending on how you handle it.
 • Will you share your love in an open relationship, or is this Bug yours and yours alone? The choice is yours!
Not all Bugs are into the same things! Our new Chitin Chemistry system means every potential partner has unique preferences, dealbreakers, and hidden desires.
 • Some species value loyalty and devotion, while others prefer a little friendly competition for their affection.
 • Do they enjoy verbal affirmations, or would they rather see a heroic display of strength on the battlefield?
 • Your choices dynamically shape your relationship, leading to multiple possible endings for each love interest.
Choose wisely; one wrong pheromone signal could ruin your shot at love.

In Bugs & Kisses 2, once you've secured a lifelong bond, you won’t just say, "I love you," you’ll build a home together.
 • Choose your biome: Will you settle in a lush jungle burrow, a cozy starship cabin, or enjoy a hot shower together?

Think you have what it takes to date, defend, and declare your love in the heat of battle?

Stay tuned for more updates, and remember: Love is mandatory.

Troopers, we appreciate your enthusiasm for Bugs & Kisses 2: Would You Like to Know More… About My Feelings?! The response to the first title has been truly out of this world.

But in the ever-expanding universe of game development, some ideas are… shall we say… best left classified. For now...

Still, who knows what the future holds? After all, love—like an unexpected Bug ambush—often finds you when you least expect it.

Stay vigilant, stay passionate, and remember: Would you like to know more… can sometimes be a dangerous question. If you have such dangerous questions of your own, we welcome you to ask in the ST:E Community Discord!
Happy April 1st, troopers. Dismissed!

We’re from Offworld, and we say kiss ’em all!
