Beat the Machine: Rebooted - Arsenal 1.0.3

It's been a minute Cadets! Welcome to Patch 1.0.3

This patch is mostly just bugfixing, as over the last couple of months, we have been letting Arsenal settle across the Origin Sectors. We also have some analytics to share, to understand why we have no balance changes coming across this patch.

Bugfix: Fixed a bug where attempting to replay the tutorial after selecting skills would sometimes cause Wave Dash to be unable to be used.
Bugfix: Fixed a bug where audio would sometimes play the wrong Voiceline.
Bugfix: Fixed a bug where after completing the game, the game would fail to play the voiceline for opening the skilltree.
Bugfix: Fixed a bug where sometimes frost ammunition would occur too late.
Bugfix: Fixed a bug with the Ricochet Cannon sometimes causing its bullet to dissipate before intended.

Analytics chat:

When we launched Arsenal we wanted to make sure that weapons were being used at good variety. Since we have 10 weapons, if it weapon was picked 10% of the time it would be considered perfect. Our goal was to have no weapon be selected under 5% of the time, and no weapon greater than 20% of the time. As of right now, every weapon is within the threshold of our numbers.

We also look at a metric of level completion. All weapons fall into those windows as well, the only weapon we are closely monitoring at the current time is Gren.exe. It takes a bit long to get going, but once you grab enough skills its a powerhouse. It's definitely catered toward veteran players, but there has been discussion around whether it's too powerful in its rate of fire scaling, but not powerful enough among its damage scaling. Right now its very hard to tell, but we like that Gren.exe has both a rate of fire and damage build that are very viable to defeat T.O.M.

In the skills department, there's a couple of skills that aren't picked very often. One of those skills (Cooling Cell), is very dependent upon other actives and also getting used to its very unique mechanic. Other skills, seem to have not yet found their place, we're giving them some extra time to settle into the game, even though its been quite a while. Each month we check the numbers to do bounce sporadically, so we don't want to make changes especially when the variety of Beat the Machine is tripled of anything we've seen before. We're being very cautious this time around as we don't want to accidentally make something forced to be run.

Other than that, if you made it this far. We'll have an announcement very soon about our next game ;)
