Employment

People who live in your medieval city develop the economy. They can be farmworkers, lumberjacks or even researchers. The specialization is defined by the building your citizen is working at. Each type of building has limited number of workers who can be attached to it. Mining and production efficiency depends on the number of currently employed workers. Player сontrols the activity workers are busy in. For example, you may order one of your gravediggers to start working at sawmill, but in this case you should keep in mind that the speed of burial of the dead will be reduced.
Resources and building process

As already mentioned citizens can be engaged in resource mining, various productions and construction. Also there's one type of workers – peddlers – who's job is to deliver resources to the nearest warehouse. The farther mines from the warehouse, the more peddlers player will need to deliver resources at an acceptable rate. The peddlers house has default area of control. The size of this area can be changed though. Shortening or lengthening the range of a circle centered in a peddlers house will exclude or include mines and other productions from the zone where your peddlers are active. Peddlers deliver the resources only from mines and productions in the area of control of their peddlers house.

Builders have similar mechanics. They take resources from the nearest warehouse to bring these materials to a determined construction site. The farther construction site from the warehouse, the more time it will take for workers to complete the building. And more builders are required to speed up the construction.
