Of Spring update. Part 3
Good lords, fair ladies!
We keep revealing details about the upcoming Spring update. So today we're talking about the Guard towers, which will soon arrive in Diplomacy is Not an Option.
There are 6 of them. They differ in size (usual and massive) and in level (first through third). Each upgrade of the Townhall unlocks Guard towers of a higher level.
Moving on to the point. Guard towers are engineering structures, so their armor type is 'Civilian building'. They are noticeably less durable than both, Wood and Stone towers, but cost less. Most importantly, Guard towers are higher. This advantage allows ranged troops and war machines to hit targets at a greater distance. Essentially, you get a great toolkit to build your second line of defense.
The new content didn't fit in the current interface. So we made a separate tab in the construction menu, 'Additional defense'. That's where you can find Guard Towers and Traps. Also, we renamed the old 'Defense' category to 'Fortifications' for easier navigation through the armor types of your defense structures.
Lastly, here's a quick visual overview of how to use Guard towers in combat.

Thank you so much for being with us! In the next post, we will reveal some facts about the highly anticipated Sandbox mode. Stay tuned.
