Of Spring Update. Part 4

Good Lords, Fair Ladies, greetings!

Our story about the upcoming Spring update for Diplomacy is Not an Option continues. So today we're going to tell you about the Sandbox mode.

Once you start a game in Sandbox mode, the opening screen will give you a choice of options to customize the session you're going to play. One of the key settings is choosing a map from the list. We used map presets from other modes as a basis. The preset defines the size and landscape of the map, as well as the enemy faction of the enemy camps. In the rest, the Sandbox allows complete freedom of creativity.

It is you who sets the number of deposits and starting resources, who determines the army you are given at the start, and who decides whether to remove or keep enemy camps. You can also choose any of the existing environments in the game to visually transform the already familiar map.

There are no victory conditions in Sandbox mode. You can play as much as you want, and you can set your own goals. As for the battle against the enemy, the moment of attack, the size of the enemy's army, and even the direction of the attacks are also controlled by you. Want to be attacked by both Undead and Royal army at once? No problem. Want the Rebels to attack from the North and the Nightmare Generals to come at you from the South? Be our guest. You can set up an enemy attack after the map is generated by opening a special window. Try your hand at experimenting and creating.

In the future, we plan to add more content to the Sandbox mode and hope to do so before Diplomacy is Not an Option leaves Early Access.
With that, we end our story for today. Thank you very much for your time. See you soon!

Yours, the Door 407 dev team
