The main characters from the story campaign

Good Lords, Fair Ladies!

Diplomacy is Not an Option's story campaign is not intended to be a serious and deep narrative. We believe our game to be a kind of pamphlet or even a travesty. However, even in a small comedy the actors play an important role. In this article, we will list all the key characters that the protagonist meets during his journey. Some of them you know, and some of them you are going to meet for the first time. Depending on the choices you make, one of them (and maybe more than one) may become your ally and even appear on the battlefield.

CAUTION: minor spoilers ahead!

To begin with, the main characters belong to different in-game factions. In the Singleplayer Campaign preview, you meet the leader of the Resistance, the true King of Samreignia, Scott the Bloody.

It is well-known that he is the bastard of the protagonist's uncle, but for what reason Scott considers himself eligible to claim the throne remains a mystery. Most likely, it's a matter of opportunism. When a peasant uprising broke out over tax increases in Samreignia, Scott thought he had an opportunity to take over the country.

He's a narcissist with a gift for eloquence, and he's also often found to tend toward violence. Some modern psychologists might even consider him a psychopath or a maniac. But since Samreignia is in the Middle Ages, there's no one to provide a diagnosis. If you ever picked the Rebel side in the campaign preview, you know that Scott the Bloody is joining your army. If you continue playing for the peasants' faction, rest assured that Scott the Bloody will appear more than once on the battlefield, in the in-game videos. In general, he has a very significant impact on the plot.

If you remain loyal to your king, Scott heroically dies on the battlefield. But, in the next mission (which is not included in the preview), you get a rare opportunity to meet the Keeper of Eternal Peace, the Bastion of Goodness, the Guarantor of Justice, His Majesty King Ferdinand II of Samreignia (nicknamed the Thick by his people).

Ferdinand, as a king is expected to be, is always right. He's also a hedonist, loving life in all its forms. It was this love of life, coupled with Ferdinand's unwillingness to limit himself, that drove Samreignia into a crisis. Which led to the decree of a tax increase. In the story campaign branch "For the King!" the protagonist will have to try to fill the royal treasury with gold and jewelry, which he will try to find on the Uncharted Continent.

In one of the previous posts, we introduced you to the Sarranga tribe living on the Uncharted Continent (the one marked Terra Tenebrosa on the map). We also showed you Princess Shankhar. Just in case you missed it, here she is:

Brave, a little rough, and very determined, Shankhar is one of the three rulers of the Sarranga Tribal Union. Here are the other two chiefs:

Each one of this trio is the chief of his tribe, in charge of his people. And together, they decide the most important matters concerning the governance of the entire Sarranga Union.

The Sarranga are not the only civilization on the Uncharted Continent. As you may have noticed, there are Undead in our game. And they too have their own... undead leaders, who occupy an important place in their odd hierarchy. Meet the Ninth Twilight Overlord.

He is exceptionally intelligent. Like all the Undead, he realizes that he is a part of the game. Overlord even knows some things about how the game works. He is charismatic and polite but can be a bit hot-headed when he's upset. On the whole, he's the nicest person to talk to.

We could tell you some more details about the biography of the main character, "My Lord", and his loyal servant Snoot, who you can see in most dialog boxes in different Diplomacy is Not an Option game mods... Instead, we'll just leave one picture here, an in-game screenshot, to be precise....

Thank you for your time. See you soon!

Endless Mode feedback

Good Lords! Fair Ladies!
As you may have noticed, in a few previous updates we made some changes to the in-game economy. Meanwhile, the balance of the Endless Mode map layouts remains untouched.
So we have been contemplating - what is the best way to find the needed changes? What would make the challenge fair and tough at the same time?
The answer is obvious! We need to see how our fans play those maps!
Thus, once again, we ask for your help. We need your videos! When you happen to play Endless Mode (except for the latest - "Under Pressure"), please do, make a Youtube video, and share the link with us! It doesn't matter whether you survive a few days or a hundred! If it’s not difficult for you, it would also be great to make a note about your level so that we can roughly understand who is playing in the video .
Your videos can help us make the Endless Mode better!
You can send your links to the video both in the comments and via these contacts (whichever is more convenient for you):
