And now... the news!

You may have heard a thing or two about the lack of food in the Diplomacy is Not an Option demo. There were justified complaints that the “defeat” screen most often appeared not because of enemies' activity, but because of inevitable and continuous famine in your settlements. However, in the Early Access build surviving experience is incredibly different. Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce you to two buildings that were not included in the demo.

These are the Farm and the Market. While Farms produce food all the time, the Market allows you to buy it in exchange for a reasonable amount of any other resource you have in the game.

Bug fixes:
  • AMD immediate crash fix from 1.0.15 implemented properly. Now AMD GPU users will see grass and game wouldn’t crash immediately because of the exceptional beauty of our grass.

This hybrid RTS citybuilder has big ideas, big hordes, and an even bigger sky laser

It's been a long time since I've found an RTS that recaptures the many hours I spent playing Warcraft 2 growing up, but Diplomacy Is Not An Option gets pretty darn close. I've been playing the hybrid citybuilder/tower defence game's demo this week, and those long forgotten memories of building row upon row of archer towers to nuke incoming orcs, defending my town hall and sending my little workers out to fish, mine and chop wood all came flooding back. Only here, those enemy armies come in waves of increasing size. Fortunately, in addition to the standard sword and bow folk at your disposal, you've also got a bit of magic - including a big fat giant sky laser. Count me in.
