DEATHSPRINT 66 Update 3

Hello Clone Jockeys,

Thank you all for playing DEATHSPRINT 66 and your continued support.

Today we are releasing our third major update and are excited to roll out Events, which will bring special time-limited playlists to PvP.

What better way to celebrate this update than to start with an AR map focused event featuring three brand new maps: Sakura, Hard-Drive, and Virus.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

That’s not all, as there are plenty more fixes and tweaks in this update, so make sure to read the full patch notes below.

Update 3 will be going live at 11AM GMT, so there may be a brief interruption in play. You will need to restart Steam and download the update when it goes live.

Patch Notes:

Events:

  • Added an Events playlist to Online PvP.
Dev Comment: “Events offer new time limited playlists with featured maps and rules for players to enjoy, offering yet more ways to play.

Now, when you select PvP from the main menu you will find two options. The left ‘Showtime – PvP’ is the current DEATHSPRINT 66 experience featuring all maps with standard rules. The right ‘Special Event’ option will be where you find the new time limited events.

Events will typically run weekly from 6pm (GMT) on Friday until 6pm (GMT) on Monday, giving players plenty of time to enjoy that weekend’s event. While playing in the Event playlist, you will receive 2x Fame helping you climb the ranks faster!

To celebrate this update, our first event ‘Holonet Connect’ – which is a featured playlist of all our AR maps - will be live for an extended period, running from when the update goes live until 6pm (GMT) on Monday, 16th December.

We’ll have more specific details to share soon on what to expect from future events. Aside from curated playlists and 2x Fame, we plan on bringing some fun gameplay modifiers to mix things up even more!”

Offline Mode:

  • Fixed an issue where Awards were displaying an incorrect level on the Clone Data screen while in Offline Mode.

Maps:

  • Added the maps Sakura, Hard-Drive, and Virus to the PvP map rotation, Rehearsal map list, and online leaderboards.

Fixed an issue on Vertigo where a visual issue would occur when entering areas of the map with water droplets.

Fixed an instance of a kill volume being sized incorrectly in Greenroom.

UI:

  • Fixed an issue where player banners, rank, and/or profile pictures would be missing on the post-match screen.

Options:

  • Fixed an issue where the player was unable to unpause the game.

Misc:

  • Fixed an issue where the player model was incorrectly lit on the post-match screen.

Fixed an issue where the Shame Suits were not rendering textures correctly.

Secret Mode and WDC Competition – Blackout

Hello Clone Jockeys – both old and new.

Today, we are proud to announce that the Bachman Media Network is supporting our publishing partners, Secret Mode, in their charity endeavors. With DEATHSPRINT 66 officially part of the Jingle Jam Games Collection, Secret Mode has teamed up with WDC to find out who’s the greatest runner by... running a competition (at their expense).

Thus, we welcome all our new Clone Jockeys and challenge you all – former, current, and new – to set the fastest lap on our new brilliant, brutal battleground – Blackout. This lap must be set in our Showtime PvP mode.

This grueling contest runs from Monday 2nd of December until 11:59PM GMT on Sunday 15th December. The winner will be revealed the following day across Discord and the DEATHSPRINT 66 social media platforms. Keep up to date with the latest times thanks to frequent leaderboard posts over the coming days.

The winner will receive a symbolic whale or dolphin adoption from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), alongside keys for five of Secret Mode’s catalogue – Critter Café, Parcel Corps, Still Wakes the Deep, Make Way, and a key for a friend to join you on track in DEATHSPRINT 66.

To enter, submit your fastest lap time through this short entry form. You may re-submit if you get a faster time during the competition. Terms and conditions apply.

Good luck, Clone Jockeys. We’ll see you on track.
