Daily Server Patch - March 27th, 2024

Server patch just went live :saluting_face:

# Cloak Updates
- In honor of my birthday today, we want to give a gift that you've all been asking for. :birthday: Dropped/Crafted **Cloaks now have stats!** Nothing crazy, just some HP/Mana and some cloaks have a small amount of resistance to an element.
- The **Cloak of the Alpha** is now upgradeable to silver and gold trimmed. I've attached some gifs mauling some chickens to show them off :EvilChickenEoY: Thanks @scabbybob for this awesome suggestion.
- We've updated the color of the cloak to match the pelt of the Alpha wolf as well.
- Dragonscale Cloak rarity updated.
- Spellslinger, Black Knight, Dragonscale, Ritualist's, Cloak of the Alpha, and Dolenar Cloaks stats updated.

# New Monster Hunting Tasks
- The 40+ bracket has been separated from 36-39 with new tasks set-up for high level players.
- Tricksters (Level 24-27) are nefarious little forest imps. These are a nice alternative to Imps/Harbingers for farming vamp and demonic hearts.
- Hydras (Level 40+) are three-headed serpents can be found on Jade Island.
- Werewolves (Level 40+) are lycans that *might* shadowstep to you when entering combat :eyes:
- Dragon Brutes (Level 40+) are formidable dragons with a stomp ability.

**Miscellaneous:**

- Hellhounds added outside of WL. Check around Western Irumesa. :smile:
- Vekiun Task added to task boards as rewarding group content.
- "World Bosses" task group renamed to "Raids" and a "Suggested Players" text added to each of the tasks in this group.
- The 40+ Global Essence table now has only t7 enchants in the pool. Let us know if you like this change.
- Dragon Brute, Hydra, Werewolf, and Trickster hearts & minipets added.
- Gold and Silver Leyline Threads added to Irumesa.
- Draketooth and Drakewing Recurve proc effects updated.
- Purple Dye recipe bug fix.
- Red Goblins should now count for Monster Hunting tasks.
- Spirit wolves should now retaliate automatically, for real this time :monkas:
- Paragons now have an ability like their counterpart Shadow Knights.
- Dawn and Duskhound leash range extended.
- Black Knight Gloves model corrected. The model was previously missing gloves.
- Infuser: Summon Infused Mage no longer allows multiple summons of different tiers.
- Illusionist: Overload now grants 10% damage dealt instead of 20% cast speed.

NEW: Monster Hunting Skill

Steam Patch 3.0.2 is now live!
Server has been restarted and patch applied.



# New Skill: Monster Hunting :crossed_swords:

Monster Hunters **Van** and **Selene** have arrived on Irumesa and are offering players the opportunity to slay monsters and gain Monster Hunting XP! They can be found in two locations: **Edrivine** and **Blackwood**

**Here's the gist:**
- You'll receive a random kill task based on your level.
- Gain 25% of earned combat XP as Monster Hunting XP when killing a monster on task.
- You'll gain currency/points for completing tasks (work in progress)
- Skip/Extend tasks as desired with points (work in progress)

The total pool is now 25+ available monster tasks with this update.

We're excited to build out this skill and welcome any ideas to improve!

# New Mechanic: Multi-Stat Weapon Scaling :sparkles:

We're testing something new with weapons. You will now gain weapon damage with any attribute rather than a single one. If you want to use a mace on an Enchanter, go ahead! A sword on an Assassin? Try it out!

We'll monitor this change and make sure it isn't broken - thanks for testing!

# New Music :musical_note:

Has been added to Irumesa - *Along The Sacred Path*, composed by the incredibly talented **Jake Lives**. Check it out!

** Additional Notes:**
- Missing Shadowgrowth resources placed thanks to @jasconine :pray:
- Slimespawns now have a slightly higher chance to drop Oozeling cores.
- Slime Pools are now gatherable with Herbalism, however your sickle is useless on the slimy goo...
- Darklight Pinnacle boss encounter tweaks to help tanks and healers kill within a more reasonable time frame.
- Axe of the Titan now deals *physcial* Earth damage.
- Captain's Log proc rates now increase with higher weapon swing speeds.
- Duskweave and Mystic bags now have corrected container slots. Thanks @scabbybob
- Superior, Sovereign, and Majestic Redban and Rinthistle potions now have updated rarity text colors.

Patch 3.0.0



Apologies for the delayed patches over the last few days - we were prepping everything for server migration.

UPDATE: The live Game server is now hosted in the US-EAST region!

Steam Patch 3.0.0 is now live too!



Notes:

- NEW: Radiant & Void Weapons are now available in-game. They require level 40 to equip and are crafted with materials from Darklight Tower
- @Karlsson did an absolutely incredible job designing these weapons. Be sure to let him know if you like what he put together!
- NEW: Tier 7 Essence will now drop from enemies that are level 30 or higher. These essence will apply +12 of your desired attribute to your gear.
- NEW: Dolenar Raiments are now available in game. This is the Wisdom cloth set.
- As requested, we're adding more alternate attribute items to the game like @Korran's Targe. Some of these have been implemented before but there are more to come!
- All Elemental Rift items are now available to be upgraded to t8.5 using Molten Cores. Molten Cores are an upgrade currency which drops off of Alphyrion and Magmus in the instance.
- Giant's Loop/Cuff/Bracer/Bangle bugfixes.
- Enchanter: Stream of Life mana cost fixed.
- Guardian: Tweaks to cooldowns and cast times, threat gen, and damage modifiers for Barbed Shield.
- Assassin: Concealed weapon dexterity scaling improved.
- Minor Spawn blocking re-implemented while we improve the system and find a good middle-ground between blocking and open respawns.
- Additional tweaks to Alpha Wolf encounter to further improve the experience for new players.
More resources placed across Irumesa.
- Dragon Meat hunger generation improved to 50%.
- Ritual Phylactery bumped to +23 Wisdom.
- Captain's Log bumped to +64 Strength.
- Fixed a bug with the Superior Aetherthistle Potion buff.
- Surge proc DPS reduced.

  • Various fixes to gatherable herbs.
  • Mycoli, Campestris added to MonsterDex.
  • Dragon Knight 'Draconic Aegis' now causes enemies within the aura to take an additional 10% Divine Damage for the duration.
  • Dragonsilk added back to WL Drake spawn.
  • Old Mines exit portal fixed.
  • Arcane Font teleport fixed.
  • Players should now recover full health & mana when leveling up.
  • Gift Shop quest text fixed.
  • SI Goblin ranged attack damage slightly reduced.
  • Baseline currency drops added to all monsters to give a reasonable baseline income for monster grinding.
  • Minor reduction to Brawler damage output from Knockout and Fierce Uppercut.
  • Wildlands status effect should be properly removed when leaving the area.

Patch 2.9

**Notes, in no particular order (Part 1):**

- Base movement speed has been increased by 12.5% to reduce sluggish gameplay
- Updated UI scaling slider to have a max value of 125%, up from 115%
- Irumesa tree overhaul is nearly complete - many t1-t3 trees were re-placed over the past month
- Various locations now contain resources which do not require combat to harvest
- Celestial Dust icons updated
- Netherscale, Valehide, & Celestialhide icons updates
- **Sickles** (Herbalism tools) are now craftable at the blacksmithing table
- XP loss on death corrected for previously missed zones
- T3, T4, & T5 Enchanting materials now drop from enemies around Irumesa
- Imp damage output and health reduced slightly
- Lvl 36 Yetis can be encountered in the Eternal Mountains
- Lvl 34 Superior Arcane Elementals can be found in game
- Lvl 39 Naga Warriors have been discovered on Jade Island... as well as a Dungeon Entrance for a future instance
- Successfully harvesting an ore, plant, or tree has a chance to grant crafting-related Enchanting material
- Dual-wield armed run animation has been updated
- T8 Duskroot trees have been added
- T8 Duskthorn plants have been added
- T8 Leysilver has been added
- T8 Cloth Armor, Leather Armor, & Jewelry is now craftable
- T8 Potions are now craftable
- Hellhounds, Paragons, Superior Elementals, and Moonspawn enemies are rigged and are nearly ready to be implemented into the game
- Various monster spawns have been updated to use fixed spawn locations, such as the Imp cave SW of Edrivine. This should reduce unpredictable and unfair 'over-pulling' due to bad spawn RNG
- Many elemental spawns have been converted to host a specific tier of enemy. For example, the Wildland Fire Ele spawn only has greater elementals now
- Misc QoL updates, such as a log bridge north of edrivine to more easily access fire elementals
- Training Grounds teleport location updated
- Ebonshade self-healing output reduced
- Wasps updated to level 11, from level 6
- Rubberbanding while moving should be nearly eliminated
- Density of rabbits, hornbucks, deer, and other wildlife slightly reduced
- Earthguard cooldowns, status effects, tooltips, and animations slightly adjusted to improve the polish of the class
- Assassin cooldowns re-worked significantly, to improve damage output relative to other DPS classes
- Removed misplaced lamps south of Marshdale
- Demon Tyrants added to taskboards
- Taskboard tasks no longer have a maximum level
- Hurry spell is now granted to players who interact with Hawizz on the Edrivine Docks
- Shadowgrowth added to more Shadow Manifestation spawns
- Occlusion updated when the character is behind a tree, which will make gameplay less cluttered when objects are blocking the player's view
- T8 Bags are now craftable
- T8 Backpacks are now craftable
- Backend update: The Development Server is now hosted in the US and we will move the Live Server over soon.
- Gloves have been corrected to properly equip when double-clicked
- Login Screen reverted to standard environment
- New stylized cursor has been added to the game
- Goblins now talk in chat much less frequently
