Update 1.8.4

Changes
  • Removed the AFK timer
  • Redesigned the scoreboard UI
  • Added more spawnpoints
  • Completely removed the old account system. Everything is now dependent on Steam, and your in-game username is just your Steam username.
  • Finished switching networking solutions, which means reduced latency across the board.
  • Added pings to matches so you can see the latency to the host before joining
Bugfixes
  • Custom skins will now save between rounds and game restarts
  • Fixed an issue where you could not leave the computer terminal


Since it's a new networking solution, you can expect quite a few bugs. Please tell me if you find any so I can fix them ASAP.

Patch 1.7.1

Changes
  • Added refresh rates to the resolution dropdown, so you can play at 144fps
  • Added loading screens with art by NikART
Bugfixes
  • Fixed the World Trip achievement breaking after adding Orbit
  • Fixed the Learning the ABCs achievement not working on usernames that didn't start with an english letter
  • Fixed players being able to use blank names

Update 1.7.0

Changes
  • Added a new map, Orbit
  • Added language support. Pick the language you want to play in from the main menu. It will default to the language steam is running in. There are 11 languages so far, but more are planned for future updates
  • Removed the old account system. You no longer need to sign up to track stats or earn experience
  • Optimized the networking code a ton. You should see much less latency when killing players and moving around
  • Added a physics tickrate setting, which will make the game feel a lot smoother at the cost of performance. A map reload is required for it to take effect
  • Re-added chat
  • Added Steam Chat Filtering, which means you now control the chat filter level through your steam account
  • Added a controller detection notice since far too many people were asking me why their player was looking up at the sky
Bugfixes
  • Fixed the First Aid achievement not working
  • Unlocked hidden achievements will now show the proper unlocked icon
  • Fixed some lighting errors on the map Village


StickyGoGos, Barrels, and Ammo Pickups will return in a future update. I'm still working on optimizing them properly, because the hundreds at a time before put a huge strain on the servers.

Patch 1.6.5

Chat is temporarily disabled until I fix it.

Changes
  • Added Invert Y
  • Added a player count slider for creating matches
  • Rebound console to Ctrl + ` instead of just `
  • Covered the bottom of Ruins
  • ODM Gear is now enabled by default


Bugfixes
  • Improved player interpolation, so they should not be zipping about now when spawning in, and you shouldn't randomly get launched when spawning on top of someone else
  • Patched an exploit which let cheaters disconnect other players
  • Filled the floor holes on Village
  • The Think, Mark! Achievement will no longer unlock if you buy the upgrades split up between separate matches, and now requires you to upgrade them all in the same match (which was the original intention)
  • You can no longer use special characters in room names
  • Failing to join a match will no longer get you stuck in an endless loading loop
  • Sacrificed visual accuracy for network performance yet again because the servers are getting overloaded
  • The match timer can now go... negative? So at least you can know how long the match has been bugged out for.

Patch 1.6.4

The Blood Red DLC is now available on Steam! It's a cosmetic skin and death effect pack you can buy for $2.99.

Changes
  • Private match creation is now available to all players
  • Reduced the distance for the 1 in 7.5 Trillion achievement from 100 meters to 75
  • You can now view what items you are missing on the Learning the ABCs and World Trip achievements by hovering over them in the achievement menu
Bugfixes
  • First Aid achievement was not working
  • StickyGoGos will no longer grant the Just a Flesh Wound achievement
  • Trades will now count as kills for both players
  • Added a shadow to the corrupt death effect
  • Leaving a room with a countdown will no longer trigger a loading screen when the countdown completes after you have left the room
  • Attempted to fix a bug where the Meet the Maker achievement would sometimes not fire. We'll see, I guess.
