Development Branch update - v1.601

[p]Hello Terraformers! [/p][p][/p][p]We've just updated a new version (v1.601) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ. [/p][p][/p][p]This update adds more biomes to the Toxicity DLC free preview.[/p][p] [/p][p]Let us know what you like or do not like on those new biomes, how you like the new items and if you have major performances issues.[/p][p][/p][p]As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch. All players must have the same version to play co-op. If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.[/p][p]

Toxicity DLC release date announcement!

[p]Hello terraformers![/p][p][/p][h3]Planet Crafter next DLC "Toxicity" will release on November 17th! [/h3][p][/p][p]Discover the teaser and wishlist it right now![/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]This DLC will be a brand-new planet, that has been colonized, but rendered toxic.[/p][p]You'll have to use new technologies to remove the toxic pollution and purify the atmosphere of the planet to create a lush paradise again! [/p][p][/p][p]Clean up toxic goo to reclaim the land, discover new lore and secrets and explore multiple new exciting biomes![/p][p][/p][p]Wishlist it Now : [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]It will be a bit bigger than planet Humble and a bit smaller than Prime and should provide multiple hours of content. You'll be able to either start a new game on this planet, or join it using a current save file once you have finished your first planet.[/p][p][/p][p]If you want to help us playtest it, read this. Development Branch update - v1.600

[p]Hello Terraformers! [/p][p][/p][p]We've just updated a new version (v1.600) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ. [/p][p][/p][p]This update allows you to playtest, for free, a really early version of the new Toxicity DLC. [/p][p][/p][p]First, be sure to duplicate your save files before trying it.


We will divide this playtest into multiple Steps as we need a bit more time to finish the full DLC:[/p][p][/p][p]STEP ONE (now) : Try the new planet (either from a new save or interplanetary travel), the purification global value, discover just a few biomes and the new "toxic areas" mechanic. There is a lot of issues still, we are mostly looking for your feedbacks on the new mechanics or game breaking bugs. Streamers : If you decide to try it, remember to mention that it's a really early preview.[/p][p][/p][p]STEP TWO : We will add more biomes in the coming weeks untill the planet is fully available to playtest.[/p][p][/p][p]STEP THREE : The DLC will release on November 17th.   • [p]New purification and toxic related mechanics and items.[/p]
  • [p]On a toxic planet, the energy generation is correlated to the purification of the planet. You need to increase the global purification to use your energy.[/p]
  • [p]On a toxic planet, you'll encounter "toxic areas" where a new gauge will show up on your screen. Once the gauge is at zero, you'll get health damage.[/p]
  • [p]For now, we won't explain everything to see how players reacts :)[/p]

Minor Update - Main branch

[p]Hello Terraformers!

We've just uploaded a small patch on the main branch.
You need to restart Steam to get it.
[/p]
  • [p]This fix a potential security breach found in the engine that we use (Unity). It should have no impact on your gameplay & savefiles.[/p]
[p]
For people playing multiplayer make sure everyone has the same version, if in doubt restart Steam.[/p][p]

Next DLC development log - Toxicity

[p]Hello terraformers!


We are back at work on Planet Crafter after taking some holidays!


After the free Moons Update, that added 2 new moons and interplanetary travel to the game, we are now working on a new paid DLC.

This will be a brand-new planet. The main theme will be pollution, hence the codename "Toxicity".

In this planet, in addition to your usual terraforming, you'll have to use new tools and machines to clean up biomes and recycle elements, while increasing the overall purification level of the whole planet.

Are you prepared to transform a toxic wasteland into a lush environment?!


We want to give you as much content as we can in this DLC, so we still need a few months to cook, but expect other news from us in the coming weeks! After that DLC, we'll focus again on free updates and improving the base game for a while, as we did in the past.
