Development Branch update - v1.510

Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.510) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.

This version is the STEP TWO of the moons update playtest. You will now be able to visit a new free moon : Selenea. To try it, use the Travel rocket. You don't require the Humble DLC anymore to try this.

This version brings significant changes with the previous version, so be sure to check out the change log.

Let us know if you experience significant performances changes or new critical bugs.

As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch.
All players must have the same version to play co-op.
If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.


Temporary changelog :
  • Adds a new Planet : Selenea.
  • The Planetary Delivery Depot has completely been reworked. Now, you'll be able to set a specific resource that Exchange Shuttles will deliver to it if their cargo contains some. More infos inside the game.
  • The display of different units is back to how it was before. SySti now have new steps for better readability.
  • Some constructions are now blocked if some requirements are not met on a planet (mostly the ones with animals / insects that now require a certain oxygen treshold)
  • Fixed an issue with auto crafters using vegetables not yet fully grown
  • The growth fuse should now work correctly
  • Increase animal shelter animal output and change plants & insects output
  • Increase fish farm pressure output
  • Reduce t5 drill pressure output
  • Change container t3 appearance
  • Fixed an issue with main menu not displaying anymore the current save planet
  • Auto Crafters won't use seeds or objects in displayers anymore
  • Fixed various issues with gamepad manipulation
  • Change the display of values of machine generation to have the full number
  • Increased animal shelter animals generation
  • Increased generation of amphibian farm, butterly farm t2, fish farm t2.
  • Fixed the problem with the exchange shuttle not landing properly
  • Exchange rockets don't stop automatic launch when coming back with a non-empty inventory
  • Fuse trade rocket can be crafter at a certain systi level
  • Fixed issues when deconstructing algae generators
  • Various changes of recipes and unlocking levels
  • Various UI fixes and tweaks
  • Improved gamepad support

  • Fixed synchronization issues in multiplayer with the interplanetary exchange UI
  • Fixed drone count per planet
  • Improved the interplanetary landing pod, it can now be deconstructed
  • The interplanetary travel rocket is now properly displayed on clients too
  • Can't die anymore when traveling between planets or launching the ending sequence
  • Growth fuse now properly working
  • Fixed issues with screens or the Planet Viewer not showing the correct planet
  • Pined recipes will no longer be displayed on top of the tutorial
  • Fixed an issue with the biomass screen display disappearing
  • Display the TI with an exponent when too high
  • Various fixes with planet switching preventing drones to spawn or launching story events during it

Unveilling our next massive free update!

Hello terraformers!

[h2]The "Moons Update" is coming up in a few weeks![/h2]


We were thrilled by the support you showed us when we released Humble DLC. Seeing all the love for our game, we decided we were going to continue support Planet Crafter for a long time.

We'll continue updating the game and making it better, expanding the fantasy of discovering interesting things in space, building amazing bases, setting up automation systems to finally terraform entire planets.


So, we worked hard to bring it to the next level with our next free update : "The Moons Update".



This update will allow you to go to two new moons, once you've finished terraforming your first planet. Once on a new moon, you'll be able to terraform it, while keeping all your blueprints, knowledge and equipment. You'll be able to exchange resources between those planets and even automating everything.


We can't tell you everything yet, but here's a teaser :

Development Branch update - v1.507

Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.507) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.


We will soon announce our next free update: the "Moons" update.

This update will allows you to go to another planet once you finished terraforming a planet. Once on a new planet, you'll be able to terraform it, while keeping all your blueprints, knowledge and equipment. You'll even be able to exchange resources between those planets and set automation between planets.

We worked really hard to offer you something new and exciting.
As usual, we are giving you access to an unstable and unfinished version on the dev branch. More than ever, be sure to duplicate your save files before trying it.


We will divide this playtest into multiple Steps as we need a bit more time to finish the full update :

STEP ONE : Try the new mechanics, but only with Humble. So you can only try it if you have purchased the Humble DLC AND you need to unlock the travel rocket (after end game) on Prime or Humble.

STEP TWO : Try the new mechanics, on a new free planet. The DLC won't be required from there. This will happen in a few days / weeks.

STEP THREE : We'll reveal it later :)

New gameplay mechanic
Once you finished terraforming a planet, you'll be able to build an Interplanetary travel rocket that will allow you to go on another planet. You'll keep your inventory, equipement & known blueprints, but you'll need to build another travel rocket to come back. There is new machines to unlock based on a new System Terraformation Index. You'll be able to trade resources from one planet to the other.

Major changes
  • You can now build different rockets on the departure platform.
  • Some objects (mostly objects that grows things, like farms, animals farms, beehives, food growers, etc...) will now have logistics disabled for their seeds inventory. This should not change anything, as most of the time you don't want to change the seeds via logistics. Vegetables will continue to be pickable by drones.
  • Humble : the departure platform will now be unlocked automaticly when the planet is terraformed. You still can find the recipe in the world.
