We've been working very hard on Chapter these past few months, and as we make the big changes, little changes come along the way as well. With the release of the Night Spasm: Chapter 1 OST available for download VERY soon (or already available if you're reading this late), we thought we'd provide a few extra "quality of life" features just for the heck of it!

Although... something feels different about this update. Is it just me or is my heart pounding fast? It's probably nothing... it's just a regular Night Spasm update after all!

A-anyway, here are the patch notes:

-All multi-attack abilities will now play a single animation instead of multiple.

-Buffed the damage bonus of many unique enemy attacks.

-Increased the UC cost of skills that use enemy stats as an advantage.

-Added a brand new [REDACTED] featuring a [REDACTED] that adds special [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and more [REDACTED]!



Um, what's the deal with that last patch note? And why is the update size larger than usual?? I need to ask the crew about this...

I guess we don't have anything else to mention in this message. Chapter 2 is coming along well, the community has been active lately, and the official OST is releasing soon. Although, I have the feeling I'm forgetting something...

That's right! Night Spasm's critically-acclaimed soundtrack will be available for download on May 26th at 12:00p.m. PST! Listen to all 229 of your favorite Night Spasm tracks featured in Chapter 1, completely free to download!



We've received a couple of frequently asked questions regarding this announcement, so how about we answer them right now?

"Why sell it for free?"

According to our community and feedback, Night Spasm's soundtrack is arguably the most iconic part of the entire game! Most video game companies tend to sell their soundtrack at a small price, just to earn a little extra something while the game lasts. But we're not like the others!

Part of enjoying video game music is listening to it in your own way, whether you're vibing to it on your smartphone or playing it on your loudspeaker as a joke. People who enjoy video game music shouldn't be limited by what's in their wallets, and it can be frustrating having to pay for music you've already heard in-game. Correction: it IS frustrating!

"Can I use the soundtrack in my YouTube videos?"

Of course! The main reason we strive to make our soundtracks accessible is to give you fans the flexability you deserve! Our music is completely content-creator friendly, meaning you won't lose monetization in your videos and streams under certain circumstances of our Copywrite policy.

Want to include Night Spasm music in a gaming video? Go right ahead! Making a remix of our music? Go for it! Using Night Spasm music for a meme? Show us what you've got!

"I want to remix one of the tracks. Would you put it in the OST?"

We'll do you one better: we'll include it in the ACTUAL GAME first, and THEN we'll put it in the OST! For the small group of people who have shown interest in composing for us since Night Spasm's release, all you have to do is make a worthy remix, share it with the Night Spasm Discord, and give us time to approve it. Should it be approved, we'll look for a place to slide your music into the game and credit you for it in-game and in the OST!
