Hello everyone!
Man, the steam summer festival is kinda big, huh? Put your game on steam and bam, you cross your fingers and hope that people will play your game. Actually, in this situation, you cross your fingers and hope that you get noticed. Well, I'm optimistic. (3 years of optimism...)
It took me nearly two months to finish the demo of Harvest Island. 16h/day and lots and lots of sleepless nights. Do you know why? Because I had just finished developing Em-A-Zurvival and I got an email notification from steam with the subject heading, "STEAM SUMMER FESTIVAl!"
My thoughts were, ok. ok. Sounds cool. *Reads email more* The $%^^&# I only have two weeks to get a steam page going and then two months two release a demo?!
And that was the beginning of my craziness. *Sips tea with pinky up*
Keep in mind. I'm a solo developer. That means most of the work is done by me.
As you can see, I can't think straight because I have so much work to do. Even when writing this. *Laughs crazily from stress*

About the game
It's a story driven 2d top down game about Will and Samantha who explores the island just out of curiosity. The gods are pretty much watching you and you have to give bless to the statues.
Like so
Once you give bless to the gods, they either reward you or not. They're gods so, ehhh. It's fantasy religion. They don't even need to give you anything. (Almost like real life lol...)
While you go around hunting things on the island to give to the gods, there are fun side things you can do. Like fishing.
Or milking a cow. You can pet them too.
Or the funnest of them all...picking up a twig. There's going to be lost of those because eventually you'll need to craft stuff!
That's most of what I wanted to say about the story. The rest, play it and discover it. There are more "activities" than what I have told you.
