Devlog: Gory Machines & Body Physics

Teasing Two Upcoming Features:


[h2]Torture Machines[/h2]


Machines Update is planned for the end of this month.
We are working on new devices to help you bring more pain and gore to these puppets.

Expect collection of different deadly machines that you can meet in real life in any manufacture — so do not try anything IRL cause, you know, this shit will kill ya.

[h2]New Player Body Physics[/h2]


Body Update is planned for mid-March.
We want to bring polished physics experience to every aspect of Hard Bullet and the way your body and hands react to the world around is one of the primal goals for us.

Just check out how easy it will be to grab those pallets and other thin things after we finish everything:


As you can see, this future setup is nothing like the one we use now — every limb gets weight and strength, every object reacts to your interactions accordingly.

Throwing objects, holding guns and punching enemies is getting to a new realistic and comfort level. New body behaves very natural and much closer to the top VR games on the market.


[h2]Last Week Updates[/h2]

Recap of the important changes and experience improvements we made during last week. BTW you can check the Updates Log for the small updates we do.

[h3]Shotgun Updates:[/h3]


Added different pump modes so now you can choose the best for your style:
  • Trigger Controlled — the one that was default. Press trigger to move the pump.
  • Fixed — if the bullet is inside it will freeze until you shoot. Standard Pavlov scheme we used before Gun Rework.
  • Free — pump moves all the time, so be carefull and do not loose any ammo.
Access these options in the Settings menu at the Lobby:



Shotgun Bugs eliminated:
  • Pump could move or even drop out of the shotgun.
  • Pump was affected by other physical objects.
  • Situation when the bullet could stuck outside the reciever.
  • Situation when the pump could stuck on the half way.


[h3]Custom Ammo Workshop Updates:[/h3]
  • Now EVERY game object can be used as an ammo, not only weapons. Shoot with heads, chairs or knives — it's up to you!
  • Reworked throwing mechanic for all objects.
  • Reworked snap zones at Workshop.
  • Custom Ammo objects now go straight forward and can pierce and cut enemies.


[h3]Toy Soldiers Updated[/h3]
  • Eliminated grab issues.
  • New color scheme to show that they are made of plastic.
  • Replaced blood effects with sparks.
  • Now they have toy guns (tiny copies of the regular ones).
  • Fixed limbs getting bigger when dismembered.
  • Fixed stretching after death.


[h3]UPDATES & FIXES[/h3]


UPDATES:
  • Added Desert Eagle.
  • Added Machete.
  • Objects you throw should follow the correct direction.
  • Brought back W12 pump shotgun.
  • Added smoke effect to break-action firearms.
  • Added green dots to iron sights.


BUGS FIXED:
  • Guns in your chest inventory collided with guns you hold.
  • Wrong magazines bug.
  • Gaps in the ceiling on Action arena.
  • Some texts spellcheck.
