Sound Overhaul Update. Melee Weapons Reworked. New Soundtrack.



[h2]Sound Update with FMOD Sound Engine[/h2]


New important milestone for Hard Bullet — now uses FMOD Sound Engine to immerse you deeper into our brutal cinematic action.

We will continue adding new sound events and sounds in the future updates.


[h2]New Soundtrack[/h2]
We now have a new Electronic Soundtrack that was made specially for Hard Bullet. We'll bring the Metal one back as we finish work on built-in Music Player that will alow player change the playlists on the go.

Let us know what do you think about new music!


[h2]Melee and Gun Recoil Reworked[/h2]
[h3]Melee Improvements[/h3]
  • Greatly improved how weapons handle.
  • Two-handed weapons are much more useful now.
  • Enemy bodies will now show different resistances to blades depending on the length of the blade and the depth of the pierce/slash.

[h3]Guns Recoil Improved[/h3]


Added more randomness to recoil and reworked the center of mass of all guns and weapons. We made some significant improvements in code to allow us to add more diversity to gunplay in the future


[h2]New Arena: Stairway[/h2]


We are happy to present to you the new Arena map! It was inspired by famous movies and was selected by our Discord community.

[h2]Roadmap Updates Moved Further[/h2]


This February and March started a cruel test for all eastern-europeans who do not support conflicts in Ukraine and of course it affected our team.

It hit much more than we expected in the beggining and right now Hard Bullet development is slowed and updates will come, but it will take more time and effort than before.

Please, don't foget that most of our team is still in a country where even talking about such theme may put you into jail due to the latest laws.

Small Update: Some Bugfixes & Improvements



  • Grinder is back;
  • Now you can dig deeper into enemy guts with shotguns and big caliber pistols;
  • Fixed visual glitch when an eye was destroyed, but still had some poligons left;

Faces and Armor Update: Emotions, Helmets, Armor and Clothes

[h2]New Faces with Emotions[/h2]


Today we are shipping Faces and Emotions Update. This is not just to make game more realistic — we worked out a decent way to add more faces and characters to the game, so expect more enemy updates in the future!




[h2]Helmets, Armor and Clothes[/h2]


[h3]Helmets and Armor[/h3]
  • Armor now blocks 30% of damage.
  • You can shoot the helmets off.

[h3]Clothes[/h3]


New UI elements added to Enemy Generator. Now you can select from different color schemes when creating your unique fighter.


[h3]Updated Spawner in Sandbox and Arenas[/h3]


You can choose if enemies are allowed to use armor and helmets or not.


[h2]Gore Updates[/h2]

New effects for melee bladed weapons — now wounds look more realistic.


[h2]Performance Improvements[/h2]
  • Reworked enemy spawner and bot pool, now it should not lag on wave start.
  • Dismembering enemies won't cause as many performance drops as it used to.


[h2]COVID attacks GexagonVR[/h2]
Previous pandemic years were quite kind to us, but right now most part of our team is in bed with 39°C (102 °F) fever so this probably will affect the updates we planned for February.

  • Enemy jaw is not destructible.

Devlog: Teasing upcoming Updates and New Roadmap for 2022!

Hi all and thanks for choosing Hard Bullet as your ultimate time killer!

Today we want to spot some light on the upcoming updates and show what to expect from the nearest months.


[h2]Enemy Faces, Emotions and Outfits[/h2]


Launch this January
Say goodbuy to old poker faces! A lot of work was done and now we can create and add new enemy faces with good-looking results. We'll continue to add more types and emotions over time,
this is just the start.


[h2]More Explosives[/h2]


February
With Faces and Emotions update we'll remove the current holiday explosives for a few days to return this mechanic in a new awesome way.
We prepared new explosive devices with new effects and handy grenade launchers to tear your enemies into pieces.

Large work on sound design continues and we are getting closer to show you the first achivements!
Video above shows raw footage and a few weeks will pass before we'll be ready to make it public. Even after Sound Update we'll keep working on game sound systems and continue to add more.


[h2]New Arena[/h2]

Working on new Arena based on your vote feedback — this location will recreate iconic stairway fights from Matrix and Scarface and will let us experiment on new mechanics and objects.

A sneak peak above shows current work-in-progress. These halls look so good in VR!

Prepare to meet new clever enemies! We trained them good to give you a real challenge during different game situation.
