The tournament follows Swiss Tournament rules: you can find the full list of rules here. [/p][p][/p][p]The first round will commence on Friday, 11th July 2025 at 11.00am GMT. No further entries can be accepted after the tournament has begun. The tournament will last 3 rounds, 11 days each. Games are paired, so each matchup will be played both ways. All you need to do is sign up, then the system will pair you with opponents and create your PBEM games.   • [p]This update fixes several bugs and issues and adds expanded functionality to the Crusade game mode[/p]
  • [p]Added New Skirmish map for SP and MP: Defence of Eonis[/p]
  • [p]First steps to updating how enemy armies are selected for game modes like Crusade and Planetary Supremacy to try and reduce instances of massively overpowering enemy armies at low player level (more to come on this in the future)[/p]
[h2]Crusade[/h2]
  • [p]Rework of the level up rewards. There are now 40 upgrades divided in common and rare.[/p]
    • [p]NOTE: Old save files will load, but your upgrades will be reset and must be rechosen. If you load a Battle Save then your units will temporarily have no upgrades.[/p]
  • [p]Upgrades are filtered for Melee and Ranged only upgrades to reduce instances of useless upgrades.[/p]
  • [p]Added the ability to reroll upgrades by spending Requisition points.[/p]
  • [p]Added new map layouts to existing map theme: Bastion, Incursion and Necron Ruins[/p]
  • [p]Added new map theme: Forest Clearing[/p]

  • This is a bug fix / issue fix update following the patch release for Skulls 2025 which added Deeds of the Fallen and Crusade mode.
  • There will be more balance updates and improvements to the new Crusade mode in the coming months.

Warhammer Skulls Festival - Deeds of the Fallen DLC & Onslaught Pack

Battlesector and Gladius are taking part in the Warhammer Skulls Festival, with a new narrative campaign and a major free update for Battlesector and a DLC release for Gladius.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector


We are really excited to announce that the first narrative campaign DLC, Deeds of the Fallen, is now available on Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. Featuring 12 new missions and 3 new units for the Sisters of Battle, it's time to bring the fight to Warzone Chaltnath.

On top of this new DLC, we are realising also a new free major update for everyone who owns the base game. The new major update adds a new game mode, Crusade, and also two free units.

[h2]Deeds of the Fallen DLC[/h2]



There hasn’t been new story content from us since our initial release, but this changes today, with the arrival of our new Story Campaign, Deeds of the Fallen.
Deeds of the Fallen contains twelve missions, where fans can play as the Sisters of Battle through a story-driven campaign against the Orks. The Adepta Sororitas will receive three new units, Imagifier, Castigator Battle Tank, Zephyrim - to fight in the name of the Emperor.

[h3]New game mode - Crusade[/h3]

The Crusade Mode is a new game feature that will challenge players to start with a basic army and fight their way through hordes of enemies, to earn the opportunity to expand both their forces and firepower. The mode also adds a new way to level up the troops, with a new experience system based on the ferocity of the battle, with a variety of ways to upgrade entire classes of troops.



[h3]New free units[/h3]

For this year’s Skulls we wanted to give you some new free units. Last year we sent new forces for Necrons and Tyranids. This time Sisters of Battle and Orks will reap the benefits.

The Adepta Sororitas can now count on the Dominions. The Dominions are specialist assault infantry who excel when making rapid deployments against enemy forces.



While the Orks are gaining the much requested melee version of the Boyz as the lads with Choppas and Sluggas are here and ready for a scrap.



[h2]Future[/h2]

2025 is going to be yet another stellar year for Battlesector. We’ll be regularly updating the game with feature updates and faction balance changes as we go through the year.

There will also be something new, exciting and a bit chaotic coming towards the end of the year…
