Partnership with Indie.io 🎉
We’re excited to remind you about our partnership with Indie.io! With this, we have a brand-new store page, and Shields of Loyalty is reaching more players than ever! This collaboration is a big step toward making the game a success.

Your Support Matters!
Indie games thrive on community support. Wishlisting, sharing, and playing the game means everything to us. Let’s make Shields of Loyalty the best game it can be together!
Frequently Asked Questions
📌 Will the game support Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Russian?
Yes! These languages are listed on our Steam page but are not fully implemented or proofread yet. With the help of our publisher and our team, all listed languages will be included and properly proofread by the 1.0 release.

📌 When is the full release?
We are trying to make the game even better with our publisher and right now, our target is the Q2 2025.

📌 Will there be modding support?
We love the idea of modding! While it’s not a feature for 1.0, we are exploring the possibilities for future updates.

Gameplay & Features

📌 Will there be multiplayer or co-op?
Right now, Shields of Loyalty is a single-player experience. We love multiplayer strategy games, but implementing it properly takes time. It’s something we’d consider post-launch if demand is high!

📌 How long will a full campaign playthrough take?
On average, a full campaign can take 20-30 hours, depending on difficulty settings and playstyle.

📌 Is there a difficulty setting?
Yes! We will offer multiple difficulty levels to ensure the game is accessible to all players while still challenging veterans of the genre at the 1.0 release.

📌 Are there different factions to play?
While the campaign follows 3 unique playable factions, the world of Shields of Loyalty is threatened by an undead enemy faction which also has unique abilities and units.

📌 How does the spell system work?
Spells are strategic abilities that can turn the tide of battle. They consume mana, and each spell has unique effects, ranging from healing to powerful attacks and battlefield manipulation.

Development & Future Updates

📌 Will there be controller support?
Right now, Shields of Loyalty is optimized for keyboard and mouse.

📌 Will the game release on consoles?
We are currently focused on the PC version, but we are open to exploring console releases if there is demand. Our second release focus will be on the Nintendo Switch port.

📌 Are you considering an endless or roguelike mode?
This has been suggested by some players, and we love the idea! It’s not in the initial release plan, but we’re keeping an eye on potential expansions. We will be mostly focusing on extra scenarios and our map editor so players can create and share their unique missions.

📌 How can I help with development?
The best way to help is by reporting bugs, giving feedback, and spreading the word about the game. Join our Discord server and participate in discussions!

📌 How can I become a beta tester?
We are always looking for passionate players to help test the game. If you’re interested, reach out on our Discord or keep an eye out for recruitment posts!

📌 Why is feedback so important right now?
Shields of Loyalty 0.9 is now playable, and we’re fixing so many things that some details may be overlooked. Your bug reports and feedback are crucial to making the game the best it can be!

Lore Piece #14: The Temple

Fragments of the Hidden Path

As Aglovan and his companions pressed on after their victory in Therwall, whispers of Alaris's tower began to resurface. Located at the misty seaside cliffs, the tower was said to be hidden by a powerful spell, rendering it invisible to all but the bearer of a mysterious amulet. Their path seemed clear, but securing the amulet would be anything but simple.

The group reached a crumbling temple, cloaked in eerie silence. Faint beams of sunlight filtered through shattered windows, casting strange shadows over the ruins. The only sign of life was a withered priest, his face pale and his body thin from years of isolation. Bound by an ancient vow, he had willingly sealed half his being behind a stone wall to remain undisturbed in his endless prayers.

Despite his reluctance, the priest revealed a crucial truth: the amulet had been shattered and its fragments scattered to four sacred sites. The locations were veiled in secrecy, known only to a long-forgotten clairvoyant who dwelled in the treacherous ice desert far to the north. As a final plea to be left alone, the priest whispered an ominous warning: "The path to Alaris’s tower is fraught with trials, each more perilous than the last. Choose wisely where you tread, or you may never return."

With this cryptic knowledge, Aglovan and his companions set out to locate the fragments. But time was of the essence. Alaris’s plans were already in motion, and their window to thwart him was narrowing. The party steeled themselves for the trials ahead, knowing that the path to the clairvoyant—and ultimately the tower—would demand more than just courage.
