  • Fix to floors blocking raycast and not letting players click on benches or foundations.
  • When the system/setting menu is opened(esc) the game is paused.

  • Metalon armor has a 5% chance to drop when killing a metalon

Wild Planet Update: Steam Next Fest, New Features, and Bug Fixes in Demo v5.7

We’re excited to announce that Wild Planet is taking part in Steam Next Fest, and with it, we're bringing a major update to our demo! Version 5.7.0.0 is live, filled with new features, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. Whether you’re revisiting or playing for the first time, there’s plenty to explore.

What's New in v5.7.0.0?

• Co-op Mode: Team up with a friend! Multiplayer co-op is now available, so you can survive and thrive together on Wild Planet.
• Female Character: We’ve added a new female character to offer more customization options.
• New Item - Head Torch: Illuminate your nighttime adventures with the newly added Head Torch.
Major Bug Fixes & Improvements
• Campfire and Furnace Inventory Fix: We’ve fixed the issue where campfire or furnace inventories would incorrectly appear in storage or workbench inventories.
• Interaction After Looting: The problem with interactions becoming buggy after looting is now fixed for smoother gameplay.
• Time Sync: Time and weather sync have been fixed, ensuring that solo and co-op sessions are properly synced. However, time is not yet saved and loaded.
• UI Updates: Various UI improvements make navigating the game smoother and more intuitive.
• Customization Fixes: Colors in the customization menu now match exactly as chosen, improving the character creation experience.
• Mobs and Building Collisions: We’ve improved mob interactions with building structures, making these elements more reliable.
• Cutout Adjustments: We’ve tweaked how cutouts behave with walls and foundations for better building experiences.
• Performance Optimizations: Small bug fixes and optimizations ensure the game runs more smoothly.

Known Bugs in Multiplayer

While we’ve made great strides in improving the demo, some known bugs remain in multiplayer:
• Host-Only Features: Currently, only the host can skip night, enter an instance, or interact with the antenna. We're working on resolving this.
• Building Restrictions: Players cannot build on foundations they do not own in multiplayer. This will be fixed soon.
• Desync Issues: Occasionally, desync problems may cause teleportation when entering an instance. Please proceed carefully.
• Farming Responsiveness: Farming actions can sometimes be a bit unresponsive. We’re aware of this and are working on a fix.

Announcement: Demo Temporarily Offline for Maintenance & Upgrades

Hello everyone!

First off, we want to send a massive thank you to everyone who played our game’s demo, shared feedback, and reported bugs. Your input has been invaluable. It helped us fix a lot of issues and also filled our backlog with plenty of upgrades to bring to the game!

As a small team of three, we're incredibly grateful for your support. We’re working hard to make this game something truly enjoyable for all players. With the early access release coming up in October, we’re feeling a bit of pressure, but we’re also excited and committed to getting the first part of the game into your hands.

As part of our efforts to improve the game, we’re temporarily taking the demo offline for maintenance and upgrades. Don’t worry it will be back online soon! And during Steam NextFest, we have something special for you: multiplayer co-op will be added to the demo!

We hope you’ll continue testing the game and sharing your feedback during early access to help us shape it into something even better.
