🚛 Dev Log — The Road to Cummins & Development Progress

Today we’d like to show you a small part of our current progress in location development — specifically, the road to Cummins.

In this video, you can see significantly more greenery compared to First Haul. We’re gradually moving away from purely desert landscapes and making the world more diverse.

In fact, we already have around 20 new roads and several small towns nearly ready, but we’ll show them a bit later — once they’re fully polished.

[h3]🌗 Day / Night & AI Traffic[/h3]

At the same time, we’re working on a new day/night system — the previous version was poorly optimized, so we’re now building a new lighting setup for the game.

You may also notice that there are currently no cars on the roads. This is due to the active development of a new traffic AI.
With the new system, vehicles will:
  • handle complex intersections and roundabouts
  • drive confidently both in cities and outside urban areas — not too slow and not too fast
  • behave naturally and not get in the player’s way

Development is currently moving at the fastest pace we’ve had so far.
Next year, we’ll start showing more gameplay and more locations.

🚛 Dev Log – Optimization and Lighting

Hello, truckers! 👋
It’s been a while since our last development update — time to fix that! Today we’d like to share what we’ve been working on over the past month.

[h3]Optimization and Global Lighting Overhaul[/h3]

Many of you who played First Haul noticed FPS drops when driving from the cockpit view, even on powerful PCs.
We took this issue seriously and completely reworked the mirror and lighting systems. Now, the performance difference between third-person and cockpit view is under 20%.

These improvements will not be added to the First Haul prologue, as the team is focusing fully on the development of the main game.

[h3]Team Expansion[/h3]

Our team has grown this year, and we spent time developing new tools for our 3D artists to speed up world creation.
Thanks to this, new towns and roads are now being built much faster, and we’ll be showing the first results in upcoming dev logs.

🚛 Dev Log – Small Towns Arrive in Truck World Australia

Welcome to a new dev log! 👋

Today we’d like to show you more work-in-progress locations - these are the small towns in the south, and yes, in the distance you can already spot the ocean.

Right now, much of our effort is going into expanding the game world. But we haven’t forgotten about the other mechanics: in the coming months, we’ll be showing you the implementation of key systems such as economy, contracts, and deliveries.
We’ve got many exciting announcements ahead, and since our team has grown over the past six months, development is moving faster than ever.

Dev Log: Heading South! New Locations in Development

[h3]Hello, Australian truckers![/h3]
Today we’d like to share some fresh screenshots of new locations we’re currently working on. These areas are located south of the First Haul prologue zone. Here, the scenery starts to change — instead of endless deserts, you’ll find more greenery, rivers, and larger towns.
