Dev Log: On the Road to the Demo! First Closed Playtest and Many Improvements!
Hello, truckers of Australia!
We finally have something exciting to share with you! We are making great progress towards the demo, and there’s still plenty of work ahead. But for now, let’s dive into the latest updates!
First Closed Beta Test
We have launched the first closed beta test! Right now, we are inviting players who want to help us improve the game. If you’d like to participate, sign up on our Discord!
A huge thanks to everyone already participating—your feedback is invaluable! We are currently testing truck physics and support for various steering wheels. Speaking of which:
Improvements to Controls and Steering Wheel Support
In our last dev log, we introduced the new control settings and steering wheel support system. During testing, we identified and fixed several issues. Here are some of the improvements:
 • Improve UX in the setup wizard.
 • New tab for configuring additional control buttons.
 • Automatic pedal inversion detection.
 • Fixed input lag on certain steering wheels.
 • Improved force feedback system.
 • Fixed reverse gear functionality in H-type transmissions.
 • Enhanced support for Fanatec and Simucube.
 • Reworked force feedback system for more realistic behavior.
Truck Physics Improvements
One of the key areas of testing has been improving truck physics. We want to ensure that driving a truck feels realistic, conveying the weight and power of these massive machines. Fine-tuning such a complex system takes time, but we are making steady progress.
Updated Audio
We have started revamping all in-game sounds, and here are some of the first updates:
 • New engine sounds.
 • Completely reworked ambient sounds for the first biome, the Australian desert.
 • And many more audio enhancements that we continue to integrate.
Other Improvements
Along with major updates, we’ve also added some smaller but important details:

Dev Log: First Road Trains and Revamped Controls in Truck World: Australia!
Hello truckers!
Today, we're excited to share two major updates: the introduction of double trailers and a complete overhaul of the control settings. Let’s dive into what’s new!
Double Trailers in Truck World: Australia!
The first implementation features a double dump trailer, consisting of two trailers connected by a standard hitch. Want to use it as a single trailer? Go ahead. But the real magic happens when you hook up both trailers!

This means more work for you, but here’s how it goes:
Attach the first trailer, exit the cab, connect the hoses, and lift the landing gear.
Repeat the same process with the second trailer. Now your road train is ready to hit the highway!

But remember, mastering double trailers requires skill. Taking turns is trickier since your tail always cuts inward. Plan your maneuvers carefully and leave extra space.

For easier maneuvering, you can park the trailers separately. Just lift the landing gear, disconnect the cables, and open the hitch on the second trailer. Park the first, then repeat the process for the second.
Revamped Control Settings
We’ve completely reworked the control system to make it as convenient and flexible as possible.
Now the game automatically detects most popular steering wheels and gamepads. In most cases, you won’t need to configure anything—just plug in and hit the road!

But if you want to fine-tune everything to your preferences, we’ve created an intuitive setup wizard. It will guide you through the entire process step by step:
Choose Your Control Scheme:

Configuring the gearbox—choose between automatic, semi-automatic, or manual.

If you pick manual, you can also decide whether to use a clutch or not.

Advanced Configuration:
Adjust every axis and button in detail. Set inversions, dead zones, or calibrate controls exactly to your preferences.
Force Feedback Customization:
We’ve added a force feedback adjustment option. Since force feedback can vary widely across different wheels, you can now fine-tune it for the most comfortable and realistic driving experience.

Stay Tuned!
This is just the beginning! We’re actively preparing for the upcoming demo, and there’s much more to come. Follow us on social media to stay up to date and make sure you don’t miss a thing. See you on the dusty roads of Australia!

Dev Log: Meet the New Interface and Locations!
Hello truckers!
We’ve got exciting news: we’ve updated the interface and added new locations that you’ll definitely want to explore. Ready to take a peek under the hood?
Revamped Interface
Remember the interface from Driving School?

Now everything looks modern and user-friendly. The new dashboard is compact, intuitive, and stylish. All essential indicators are right in front of you, so you can stay focused on the road and enjoy the journey.
Mini-Map and Info Window
We’ve combined the navigator, truck info, delivery details, and radio into a single space. You can toggle between the information you need or hide it completely to focus on driving.

Here, you’ll see all the key truck details: fuel level, technical condition of the truck and trailer.

This section displays crucial order details, such as cargo weight, destination, and delivery time.

By the way, we’ve added internet radio! Now you can choose from several stations to keep you company on those long hauls.
New Locations
Cargo deliveries just got more exciting with our new destinations:
Iron Ore Mine
A massive open-pit mine near Coober Pedy. This location needs constant fuel and equipment deliveries, as well as ore transport. Get ready to navigate through heavy machinery and dusty roads.
Construction Site
Pipes are being laid, and roads are under repair, so you’ll need to find detours along dirt tracks. It’s no easy task, but challenges are what you thrive on, right?
Keep Australia Moving!
Without you, the truckers, everything grinds to a halt. So, add Truck World: Australia to your Steam wishlist and stay tuned for updates. Don’t forget to check out our socials for more exciting content!

See you on the dusty roads of Australia!
