Fata Deum | Patch 0.1.6 | Now Live on Beta Branch!

[p][/p][p][/p][p]In today’s patch we focus on improving free building—something we’ve seen mentioned often in your feedback! Settlement borders are now defined based on the number of followers. This can be supported by defense towers and wonder protection towers. [/p][p]We’ve also enhanced the pathing logic, making it easier to freely build in newly available areas while ensuring smooth connections to travel paths between settlements.[/p][p]These improvements were often requested by the community, and we’re excited to bring them to the game.   • [p]The settlement border of each settlement is now defined by the amount of follower in the settlement and is growing with the amount of followers [/p]
  • [p]Furthermore defense towers and wonder protection towers can be build to further extend this border up to the doubled size defined by followers[/p]
  • [p]Added logic when two settlement borders are colliding so that no intersection takes place[/p]
  • [p]Improved pathing logic to allow free building in the new areas now available and connect to travel paths between settlements[/p]
  • [p]Added logic to avoid building on exploration spots, relics or monuments[/p]
  • [p]Updated first map (Skultho) by providing more building space available due to the new settlement border system[/p]

  • [p]Buildings can now be built / planned during the day even resources are missing (like during the night)[/p]
  • [p]Mana costs to build buildings have been reduced significantly[/p]
  • [p]wonders lovable and unlovable can now also be performed as multicast wonder[/p]
  • [p]AI gods do not gain any follower anymore when reaching 0 follower[/p]
  • [p]Significantly reduced additional belief points gain for AI gods due to attention[/p]

  • [p]Selection support when using a building wonder: selecting the radius of the building is enough, no need to target the structure itself, very helpful to target constructions sites[/p]

[p][/p][p]First of all, THANK YOU for all the good feeback that we received on the beta branch it means a lot to us! We’re excited to roll out these changes now for everyone. This update is a first glimpse at the direction we want Fata Deum to take during Early Access – faster, freer, and more divine. Everything here is based directly on your feedback – thank you for helping us shape the game![/p][p][/p][p]📢Main goals of this update:[/p]
  • [p]Unleash divine power: We’re removing restrictions to give players more freedom and a stronger “god” feel. This includes the multi-grab allowing you to migrate mortals to other cities, pick up bigger piles of resources (while just holding left mouse) and improved/increased throwing physics to come with more punch![/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]End the night’s limitations: You decide what and when to do – gods don’t rest when the sun goes down. All actions that are available during the day are now also available at night.[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Reduce micro management: Quicker and more powerful multicast improving cast time and power of effect[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Quicker Building times: a new building won't wait for the next day to be build anymore allowing the player to have quicker impact and less forced micro-management.[/p]
  • [p]Fairer AI: we decreased the "last hit" power of AI gods that received additional mana when having 0 followers as a "hail mary" which felt unfair to players[/p]
  • [p]Improve Stability and Performance: we focused a lot on stability and performance improvements over the last week to make Fata deum more stable and improve the player experience - there is more to come soon though![/p]

Fata Deum | Patch 0.1.4 | Now Available on the Open-Beta Branch

[p][/p][p][/p][p]We are happy to launch patch 0.1.4 today on the open-beta branch. The patch is supposed to go live on the default branch tomorrow if we/you don't experience any major issues.[/p][p][/p][p]We think that the patches heavily adjusts the gameplay towards your community sentiment:[/p]
  • [p]more freedom especially at night (all actions that are possible at day are now also possible at night)[/p]
  • [p]more god power / feel (multi grab follower and improved physics)[/p]
  • [p]less repetitive micro management (improved and quicker multicast)[/p]
  • [p]easier migration of mortals (grab them and drop them to another village/city to migrate)[/p]
  • [p]quicker and more natural building experience (buildings will no longer wait for the next day)[/p]
