Tyrannis Development Diary 10th of August, 2020
Good morning! It’s time for another Dev Diary for Tyrannis, where we’ll be covering bug fixes, balancing, and the Faction Creator coming to Tyrannis in Update 1.2.0.
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
A wise man would heed this warning. Caesar Justin Washington was not a wise man. What was once a golden opportunity for stability had quickly devolved into a bloodbath, with his forces cracking down on the opposition in 1972.
But that was four years ago.
The year is now 1976, and America is now a powder keg. Armed mercenaries roam the street, while rebels work in the shadows, preparing for a revolution that many feel is inevitable.
But make no mistake: When Caesar gave the order to fire on that crowd, it was only a matter of time until the sword fell on him.
And to think, this all could have been avoided.
Collateral Damage
War is Hell. It's violent, brutal, and never as glorious as the movies make them out to be.
Homes are destroyed. Innocents are killed and wounded. Something only a madman would wish upon another. Or someone with no other options.
Tyrannis is no different.
As part of Update 1,2,0, a new Attrition system has been implemented. To put it simply, every battle fought is a battle that will lower the effective Income in a State.
One battle may put you down a couple percent, but a drawn-out can cut it in half.
Of course, this won't happen if you launch an Uprising.
Tyrannis is available for purchase on Steam, and Update 1.2.0 is available for free for all players.
