Devlog #07: Meet the feisty and loyal Hellhound!

Hello Hellsweepers!

In our Flailing Mace Devlog last year, we dropped the first hint about one of the exciting mechanics that we've been working on. Finally, after many rounds of fine-tuning (and training), we're ready to present to you the Hellhound - loyal, dangerous and adorable all at once.

The Hellhound is more than just a pet. Conjuring this special companion is one of the many skills that you can learn and master as a Hellsweeper. Like other skills, the Hellhound is also upgradable through traits. On its own, it will automatically defend you against nearby enemies.



You can play fetch...



And give it good pats on the head!



The Hellhound's favorite snacks are elemental balls: Like your weapons, the Hellhound can be enhanced with magic. Based on the elemental snack that it's given, it can perform various attacks. For example, giving him a fireball will let him set enemies ablaze.
