More From the Getting Around Poll
  • You can now reclaim a Perfected Quetzal Whistle from Soar leader Pitri if you have lost it, as long as:
    • You showed one to Pitri to ask about unlimited Quetzal Whistles,
    • Or you had one in your possession when this game update went live.
  • We’ve added a dedicated Minigame Teleport Spell which you can find in ALL spellbooks and by using the spell filtering option.
    • Clicking on this spell will open the Minigame Teleport Menu, which:
      • Only displays minigames
      • Clearly shows whether a teleport is available, along with any requirements needed to use it.
      • Has teleport options for all minigames, including those that didn't previously have one.
  • The Herb Sack now only contains as many herbs as it is allowed to hold.
  • The Sarachnis respawn timer in the private instance is now corrected to be 10 seconds.
  • The opened Silklined Herb Sack now correctly uses a Silklined placeholder instead of a plain one.
Optional Pop-Up List of Level-Up Unlocks
  • The "Level-up pop-up notifications" option on the Settings menu now has a 3rd option, allowing you to opt into receiving pop-up dialogue boxes that list some features unlocked at your new level, similar to those that the game had before.
Sailing Tweaks
  • We've added right-click options to the Shipwrights' Workbench for crafting the Repair Kits and Hull Parts.
  • To help speed up your Port Tasks, we've adjusted the placement of ocean rapids to better align with popular routes players have been using for the cargo deliveries.
  • Resolved a visual issue with the Captain's Log UI on mobile. The "Sea" and "Ocean" dropdown menus are now fully visible.
  • Crewmate and Salvaging Hook animations now play without delay when a crewmate is assigned to the Salvaging Hook while sailing toward a Shipwreck.
  • You're now able to receive more than one Guthixian Paint without having to complete the hard Western Provinces dairy.
  • 'Squawking' Steve Beanie has hopped on the "Who wants some socks?" train and picked up a new pair of bright white socks. You'll also notice that he has been skipping a few leg days.
Other Changes
  • We've resolved the Ancient Wyvern Shield bug so that players can't claim free shields from Oziach anymore. The incorrectly obtained shields have already been tracked down and removed from the involved accounts. Additionally, with this resolved, we've re-enabled the ability to trade the Ancient Wyvern Shield.
  • You can now sell the following items to Death's Coffer:
    • Armageddon rug
    • Armageddon teleport scroll
    • Armageddon weapon scroll
    • Armageddon cape fabric
    • Annihilation teleport scroll
    • Annihilation blueprints
    • Annihilation weapon scroll
  • Wilderness-themed POH Exit Portal should now appear more orange for all players.
  • The Superior Garden floor for the Wilderness-themed POH has been adjusted to display the correct shades and textures.
  • The Mining Skill Guide now correctly lists Runite Ore level requirements as 85.
  • You can now use Fletching Knife to cut raw fish into fish offcuts as well as receiving secondary ingredients where applicable.
  • The imbued Hooded & Araxyte Slayer helms can now return Scrolls of Imbuing if their wearer is killed in PvP.
  • The message about dropping pets on F2P worlds has been updated to reflect changes to Probita's services.

More from the Getting Around Poll

Picking up from where we left off with the Getting Around Poll changes! To see what we have already released from this poll, check out here, here and here.
Lost Perfected Quetzal Whistles
You can now reclaim a Perfected Quetzal Whistle from Soar Leader Pitri if you have lost it, as long as:
  • You showed one to Pitri to ask about unlimited Quetzal Whistles,
  • Or you had one in your possession when this game update went live.

If you haven't done either of those, craft the Perfected Whistle once more and you will be able to reclaim it in the future.

Note that this only covers the regular Perfected Quetzal Whistle, as you can already reclaim the Perfected Quetzal Whistle(i) for a fee.
Minigame Teleport Menu
To make travelling to minigames in Old School easier to understand and quicker to use, we’ve added a dedicated Minigame Teleport Spell. You can find this spell in ALL spellbooks, and by also using the spell filtering option.

As with other spells, the Minigame Teleport Spell's cooldown timer will be clearly indicated so you know when it’s ready to be used again.

When clicked on, the icon will open the Minigame Teleport Menu.

To sum up, the new Minigame Teleport Menu:
  • Is accessible from any spellbook with a single click.
  • Only displays minigames, keeping the menu focused and clutter-free.
  • Clearly shows whether a teleport is available, along with any requirements needed to use it.

You can find teleport options for all minigames in the Minigame Teleport Menu, including those that didn't previously have one. In other words, teleport options have been added for minigames that didn’t support teleporting before:
  • Bounty Hunter
  • Mastering Mixology
  • Sorceress’s Garden

If you’re worried about this affecting your muscle memory, it’s worth noting that spellbook reordering is already supported on third-party clients, so you can move the icon to a spot that works for you.

These three new teleports are also added to the Grouping tab and channels. As part of this process, we designated World 470 as the default Mastering Mixology world and 471 as the default Sorceress's Garden world. A default world isn’t designated for Bounty Hunter as its rota changes every week.

Some additional fixes:
  • The Sarachnis respawn timer in the private instance is now corrected to be 10 seconds.
  • The opened Silklined Herb Sack now correctly uses a Silklined placeholder instead of a plain one.
  • The Herb Sack now only contains as many herbs as it is allowed to hold.

On that note, more lost herbs have been identified due to the Herb Sack issue, and we're aiming to return them to the impacted accounts on Tuesday March 17th 11am UTC during the maintenance window.

That's it this week for the Getting Around Poll changes, but we'll continue with the remaining ones in the upcoming weeks, which are:
  • River Dougne Canoe Stations
  • Making agility shortcuts faster
  • Adding "Last Destination" option to Spirit Trees
  • "Favourites" right-click option Fairy Ring destinations
  • Lunar Return Orb

Stay tuned!

Optional Pop-Up List of Level-Up Unlocks

Last week, we released the Skill Guide and Level-Up Message Changes from Game Jam VII. Some of you voiced that you love the optional list of unlocks provided in the chatbox, but you'd want them in addition to the list of unlocks you used to get in the pop-up dialogue box.

Following your feedback, the "Level-up pop-up notifications" option on the Settings menu now has a 3rd option, allowing you to opt into receiving pop-up dialogue boxes that list some features unlocked at your new level, similar to those that the game had before.

You can find the "Level-up pop-up notification" options under the Interfaces tab in the Setting Menu.
If you can’t see the image above, click here!

In other words, selecting the "Show level & unlocks" option will allow you to receive both the "Congratulations, you just advanced a skill level!" and the list of features you've unlocked with it.

Remember, if you want to ensure you're not missing out on the list of level-up unlocks, simply also enable the "Level-up guide list" setting. This will prompt a chatbox message inviting you to open the Skill Guide, where you can view everything you’ve just unlocked. The best part of this is, you can open it at your own convenience, without the worry of the message disappearing if you're interrupted (e.g. misclicking or being attacked), as opposed to the pop-up dialogue box message.

Sailing Tweaks

Some sailors have let us know that they'd like to avoid going through dialogue trees when interacting with the Shipwrights' Workbench. To make things more convenient, we've added right-click options to the Shipwrights' Workbench for the Repair Kits and Hull Parts. You're now able to right-click on the Shipwrights' Workbench and:
  • Select the "Craft-hull-parts" to craft any Hull Part variant.
  • Select the "Craft-repair-kits" to craft any Repair Kit variant.

Some extra tweaks and fixes:

Sailors who have been eagerly-awaiting the Ship Combat changes will be pleased to hear that we're hopefully aiming to release them in the next week's game update, depending on how testing goes. Thank you for all the feedback points you've shared with us on this topic whether through our social platforms or the Sailing Opinion Poll. We appreciate your patience while we've been reviewing your feedback and working on actioning them.
