A-Star Theft celebrates one year on Steam! To show my commitment to the game, this update brings a ton of new features and improvements to enhance your criminal experience!

  • Migrated to a true pixel-art graphics style
  • Greatly reduced lighting artifacts
  • Improved lighting system: Additive lighting and support for overexposure
  • UI Changes to accommodate the additive lighting system

  • Toxic gas can now be placed anywhere, not only behind doors
  • Changed "Take: $" to "Stolen: $" for clarity, as it is not a prompt
  • Fixed NPCs' arms sometimes rotating to the side
  • Fixed locked-door icon being shown above other interaction icons in Overview Mode
  • Fixed inability to push down hostages while they are following the player
  • Fixed turrets shooting the player when outside of the view
  • Fixed an issue where players could lock themselves inside rooms with electronic doors
  • Fixed 'Revive Character' button showing while the game is paused
  • Fixed some NPC reaction icons drifting to the right side of the screen
  • Fixed an issue where toxic gas is invisible for some players
  • Fixed players being able move during dialog directly after a new chapter starts
  • Fixed heist introduction animation pausing when the game is paused
  • Fixed main menu border overshooting its animation if the game stutters
