[p]Hotfix #80 (1.9.4) is currently rolling out across our platforms. In the meantime, you can read the notes below. [/p][p]
[/p][h2]Class Balance[/h2][p]Overall we’re very happy with the outcome of the previous patch. Build variety has increased and win rates are more even between those builds. There are, however, a few points and outliers that we want to tackle.[/p]

      While we’re happy with the defensive power of the Ability, it’s currently being used a bit too frequently so we’re adjusting the Cooldown of it.[/p]

    • [p]Walk it Off
      The uptime and effectiveness of Walk it Off was simply too strong in comparison to similar nodes.[/p]

      Psykinetic’s Aura came out of the previous patch too strong, resulting in very low Ability Cooldowns.[/p]

  • [p]Ogryn The Ogryn can still be extremely tanky without investing that many points into the defensive nodes. We’re increasing the power of a few nodes in the defensive parts of the tree with the intent that we will see more successful builds that prioritize defense.[/p]

    • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur when rendering in-game icons and portraits. [/p]
      • [p]Dev Note: Commonly encountered when switching loadout in your operative screen or browsing various options in the barber.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash which could occur if two players managed to start the Auspex minigame at the exact same time.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a rare crash which would occur when trying to equip items to an operative. [/p]
      • [p]Dev Note: This was affecting players with old loadout preset data and as a result of the fix, operative loadouts will be deleted for some players.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a rare crash which could occur when voting for a mission started while a player was Sacrificing weapons.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash which could occur when loading icons in the modify appearance options and when switching to a loadout with a previously equipped item that has been deleted.[/p]
  • [p]Cosmetic Fixes[/p]
    • [p]Corrected the colors in the naming of the Veteran “Scavenged Kantrael MK XF Flak Helm” headgear cosmetics for the previously labeled 'Green' and 'Red' items.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where facial hair would clip with the Psyker “Krieg Witch Mask” type headgear cosmetics.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed issues with some backpack accessories clipping with the Zealot “Pilgrim’s Jerkin” upper body cosmetic.[/p]
  • [p]Lawbringer Mk IIb Power Falchion[/p]
    • [p]Tweaked attack ranges for Light attacks to be more aligned with each other (particularly, slightly increased the reach of the Light 1 attack).[/p]
      • [p]Dev Note: Thanks to player “aroth68” for bringing this to our attention![/p]
    • [p]Smoothened out the windup of the Heavy 2 attack animation.[/p]
  • [p]Catachan “Devil's claw” Sword[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where an incorrect third person animation would be played when performing the windup of specific Heavy attacks on mk IV and mk VII.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where 'Time to Kill' would proc on non-damaging backstabs like 'Fury of the Faithful' impact hit.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where 'True Grit' applied the wrong amount of Health damage.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Psyker's 'Charged Strike' talent electrocution damage would scale with the 'Empowered Psionics' Keystone damage boost.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where 'Remote Detonation' would not get extra charges from buffs or mission modifiers (e.g. “Enhanced Blitz” Maelstrom modifier).[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where 'Crystalline Will' would still deal corruption even when canceling the Perils of the Warp explosion (e.g. by quelling Peril through 'Venting Shriek').[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a crash caused by the visual effects of Rotten Armour enemies.[/p]
    • [p]Dev note: we thought we had fixed the same crash in our previous hotfix, but it was only a partial fix. This should solve all occurrences of the issue.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could path upwards from specific nodes in the Veteran talent tree.
    [/p]
[h2]Known Issues[/h2][p]We’re aware of increased disconnects and server instability since the 1.9.0 update. Hotfixes have provided some improvements and we’re monitoring closely; restoring full stability will take additional time.[/p][p][/p][p]Some players might experience a rare crash occurring when trying to equip items to a character. This is affecting players with old loadout preset data. For players experiencing this issue, creating a new loadout preset should bypass the crash. A fix will be deployed soon to address the crash, which will in some instance delete the character loadouts.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your patience and your understanding![/p][p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue where the ammo value in the magazine and in reserve of secondary weapons would be incorrect and/or receive incorrect scaling from the Ammo stat.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that led to a significantly incorrect stagger calculation for staggered enemies in certain situations.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where post-combat bonding conversations would not occur as often as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where subtitles would not display during the opening cinematic.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the difficulty requirement not working for ‘No Provisions’ penance.[/p]
    • [p]The description of the penance was also updated to more accurately reflect the requirements.[/p]

  • [p]There is a rare crash occurring when trying to equip items to a character. It is affecting players with old loadout preset data.[/p]
    • [p]As a workaround we recommend creating a new preset, this should fix the problem. When we deploy a fix to this bug, some players might lose their preset - not their character, just the build preset.[/p]

Warhammer 40k Darktide drops new enemies, weapons, and a hefty class rework

Warhammer 40k Darktide understands the Warhammer 40k universe like few other games. It doesn't have the power fantasy of Space Marine 2 or the scale of Dawn of War, but it nails the grit and grime of life in a Hive City. The gameplay has improved in leaps and bounds since launch, too, with a constant flow of updates from developer Fatshark to iterate on fan feedback and keep the live-service ball rolling. The latest update is Bound by Duty, which focuses on deadly plasma weaponry, and adds a new map, mission, and gear as well.
