Warhammer 40,000: Darktide News

The most brutal Warhammer 40k FPS just hit its lowest price yet, with a major update luring me in

As someone who has sunk far too many hours into Vermintide 2, to the point where it's fairly embarrassing, Warhammer 40k: Darktide is an absolutely brilliant spiritual successor. Developed by Fatshark, which created both Vermintide games, Darktide's brutal sci-fi action is exciting and engaging, even after I've spent more than fifty hours playing. If you're yet to give it a go, now's the perfect time to do so, as the chaotic looter shooter has hit its lowest price to celebrate Warhammer Day 2025.

Warhammer 40k Darktide is getting another new class, and I swear to god if it's not a toaster...

I'm a simple man. If I see the Adeptus Mechanicus involved in a Warhammer project, I click buy. Whether it's my tabletop army, creating my own personal collection of IRL servo skulls, or indeed something from our list of the best Warhammer 40k games, I'm a toaster man through and through. And we're eating right now. The recent Mechanicus 2 demo was excellent (even if I was more impressed by the Necrons), my Dawn of War 4 preview features our not-so-friendly robots, and I really hope Warhammer 40k Darktide is next. Developer Fatshark has teased that a new class is on the way, and I've got a funny feeling that something robotic this way comes.

Live Event: Stolen Rations

[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
New In-Game Live Event: Stolen Rations
[p]The Heretics have raided a supply convoy. You need to destroy or recover these rations.[/p][p]No one knows the state of these stolen rations. Will you recover them for the hungry citizens of the hive? Will you destroy them to avoid any chance of corruption? [/p][p][/p][p]To make progress in the event, you need to play missions with the Stolen Rations conditions where you will encounter ration items throughout. As you do, you will have to choose if you want to recover or destroy them (and face the consequences). Your event progress is strike team wide, and will be granted regardless of what option you choose.[/p][p][/p][p]Whatever you choose will have a consequence. While playing event missions, enemies will react differently as the strike team chooses to destroy or recover these rations. Similarly, the event circumstances will change every day to represent the community’s decision over the matter.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This event will start today, and end on November 10. The rewards will be Ordo dockets, Plasteel and Diamantine. Those who complete the last tier of the event will receive a cosmetic weapon trinket.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
