Dear Wizards,

In the last 2 weeks we were working harder than usually because it was the time of Steam Next Fest! We have added tons of QOL changes thanks to your feedback, a new spell and removed the AI Voice Acting from the game so it won't have anything related to the AI anymore.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Spells] Added new spell named Void Snatchers.
  • [QOL / Summons] Summons and charmed enemies are now way more easier to recognize from the normal enemy. They have their colors changed to be way more purple. They no longer have only the small icon above the head with just an outline.
  • [QOL] After using the Spellweaver's Soul, the Inventory now get's automatically closed.
  • [QOL] It's now possible to use the jumping slime trampoline while stomping.
  • [QOL] Your current debuffs are now displayed as icons near the health bar with the time left. It's also possible to hover over them to see their names.
  • [QOL] It's now possible to hover over Mana Cost and Cooldown icons when merging spells or upgrading a weapon.
  • [QOL / Spells Merging] Number of slots left on a spell is now clearly visible when merging spells. No more confusion on why the chance suddenly dropped to 0!
  • [QOL / Spells Merging] Upgraded spells and weapons now have up to 5 stars showing how many spells they have merged inside.
  • [Spells Merging] It's now possible to merge 2 identical spells together. It was confusing for the new players that only the number of charges was increasing before and it didn't had much sense with large mana costs as well (or even worse case - that you would accidentaly lose your merged spell by doing so!).
  • [Items] Spellweaver's Soul now always spawn inside the first chest you open and will permanently remain in your inventory once collected for the first time. It's an item summoning the Spellweaver.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [World] Changed outline color of all destructive elements from blue to purple.
  • [World] All usable objects(chests, levers, etc) besides portals now have a permanent blue outline.
  • [World] The Boss Portal will no longer spawn behind doors requiring you to find a switch. They should now always be a little bit easier to found.
  • [Texts] Improved all english texts.
  • [QOL] Player's climbing speed has been increased by 40% to not break the flow of the fast-paced movement anymore.
  • [Spells] Spells drop rate has been greatly reduced for the first 5 runs of the game (increasing with each new run). It had to be done because new players were overwhelmed with too many spells thrown at them at once.
  • [Magic Weapons] Magic Weapons drop rate has been reduced by about 65% - there was no reason to have so many identical weapons. It was also very confusing for the new players.
  • [Enemies] Enemies now are red for 0,13 => 0,25 seconds after getting hit.
  • [Enemies] Lowered chance for double spawning of enemies on higher difficulty levels.
  • [Curses] Reduced amount of traps spawned by the Curse of Traps.
  • [Settings] Voice Acting is now disabled by default. That's because we decided that hearing the AI Voice Acting can break the immersion for more people than it will make it more appealing. Temporarily this setting doesn't do anything.
  • [Items / Perks] Increased the damage of Artifact and Perk named Perfect Timing by +30%. It now also requires to wait 0.75 => 0.5 seconds to activate.
  • [Perks] Buffed Perks which reduce the mana cost of spells by 50%


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Audio] Fixed a bug where you could hear fire sounds while loading into the Astral World after unlocking Ivar, the Hunter.
  • [Enemies] Background music is no longer constantly changing after killing Shopkeeper's clones while fighting him.


[h2]❌ Removed:[/h2]
  • [Spellweaver] Removed the Spellweaver's tutorial about using the item to teleport him. This item now always spawn from the first chest you open and remains permanently in your inventory once collected for the first time.
  • [Tutorial] Removed the part about enchanting the Lesser Fireball with an Ice Enchantment from the tutorial. The tutorial now only teach you how to move, attack, dash and stomp to not introduce too much stuff at once.
  • [Dialogues] Removed the AI Voice Acting. After thinking about this for longer we have decided to disable the AI Voice Acting because it was breaking immersion of the game and was getting annoying after playing for longer. If we will ever decide to bring back the voice acting, it will be done by real voice actors.
