In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on finishing and adding the game's story. We are also working on the next boss.

  • [Story] Added most of the story elements.
  • [QOL] All projectiles and effects are now destroyed the moment boss dies. Without this change you could die from the boss attack after you had already defeated him. It was really annoying once that happened.

First of all, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas! 🎅 🎄 🎁 And a Happy New Year! 🎉 🎆

We wish every one of you a Christmas that’s filled with warmth, joy, love, laughter and that all your New Year's dreams will come true!

In the last week we were mainly working on revising and improving the game's story which is a very time consuming task, a new spell, a slight buff to the Basic Spell and simple QOL improvement.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Spells] Added new spell named Poisonous Geysers.
  • [QOL] All player's projectiles now can briefly pierce walls after spawning. This had to be done because many merged spells were not working as intented without this change. For example many big projectiles were instantly destroyed before having any chance to deal damage.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Bosses / Sounds] Lowered boss fight music volume.
  • [Basic Spell] Increased Basic Spell's base damage 4 => 6.5
  • [Meta Progression] It's now possible to increase Basic Spell's base damage by up to 50 => 100% in meta progression.

Demo is back!

Hello!
As the Prologue version is stable now and doesn't need many balance fixes, we decided to re-activate the demo with the Prologue content.

[h2]Didn't play the Prologue? Here is what is new from the last Demo:[/h2]

[h3]✨Spell Merge✨[/h3]
You can merge spells up to 5 times!
Each sacrifice spell activation triggers differ based on the main spell it merged into!
Spells can be cast simultaneously, one after another, or in groups!


[h3]✨Ancient Desert✨[/h3]
A map is new to the demo - meet new enemies like thunder spirits that duplicate near you and mummies that strike from afar with extending bandages.


[h3]✨Bestiary✨[/h3]
A redesigned UI makes tracking your hunts more intuitive than ever.

[h3]✨Taurus and Pyronis✨[/h3]
2 new bosses and a miniboss were not present in the previous demo.

[h3]Special Note: Development Updates are after a week this time because I'm going on weekly vacation starting this Saturday - snowboarding in Italy. I'm the only dev besides our pixel artist so you can expect next Development Updates in 3 weeks time. Have a great time everyone![/h3]

In the last week we were mainly working on finishing the new boss, adding new meta progression (like Perk Rerolling or fast traveling inside Astral World), translating all reworked meta upgrades to polish and improving the tutorial.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Bosses] Added few more attacks to the new boss.
  • [Meta Progression] Added 5 new meta progression upgrades.
  • [Meta Progression] Translated all reworked meta progression upgrades to polish. There were 120+ reworked meta progression upgrades, but I wasn't translating them until nearly all of them were done.
  • [Perks] Added Perk Rerolling with 1 reroll available at the beginning of each run.
  • [Quests] Added Perk Rerolling as one of the possible quests rewards.
  • [QOL / Tutorial] Next tutorial missions now start right after finishing previous one. There is no longer need to walk back to the NPC again after finishing each tutorial step.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Revives] Fixed a bug where some revives were able to revive you once per level instead of only once for entire run.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on nearly finishing the new boss, balancing other existing bosses and more changes getting us closer to Steam Deck Verified badge.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Enemies] Replaced Earth Boss with a real one. Thalor, the Forest King is waiting for you!
  • [Bosses] Added screen shake to many boss attacks.
  • [QOL] Added information "All the effects of the merged spell(Sacrifice) will remain intact." at the end of effect description when trying to do the nested spells merging (merging already merged spell into another).
  • [Steam Deck] Added more changes related to getting Steam Deck Verified badge (enlarging texts in UI elements when using a Steam Deck).


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Bosses] Changed summons of all bosses. They will now spawn stronger summons based on their level, but number of their summons has been reduced.
  • [Bosses] Reduced bosses HP on levels 2+. They were overbuffed last time.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Characters] Fixed a bug where sometimes enemies were not fully highlighted when taking damage.
  • [Audio] All sounds volume in boss fights are now affected by how close to the sound's source the player is standing.
