[p]Cursed Sands episode will be released on May 6 2026 on Steam as a DLC for RealRTCW. We still need to do some testing before pushing it out on public. So you just need to wait a little bit more.[/p]
Steam page of Cursed Sands is live now! Go and wishlist it!
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Whats new in RealRTCW 5.4?

While you wait for Cursed Sands, we’ve prepared something for you to dive into in RealRTCW 5.4. Let’s go over it in detail!
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Xbox Exclusive Maps now on PC
[p]Xbox-exclusive multiplayer maps Barn, Safe and Norway are now available in RealRTCW as Survival mode maps. Their visual style has been carefully preserved and refined. Each map features its own unique gameplay gimmicks, offering a distinct experience. [/p][p][/p]
New Survival map - Crypt
[p]Along with Xbox maps we have another map to introduce to Survival mode. [/p][p]Crypt - a reimagination of single-player level for Survival mode. By my experience this is the most intense zombie map we have currently - everything can go wrong very quickly if you are not mindful about your surroundings.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
PRO Perks
[p]Inspired by Modern Warfare 2 (2009) multiplayer, PRO perks are now available in Survival mode. [/p][p]After purchasing a basic perk, you can upgrade it to a PRO version for double the cost. The random perk machine can also grant upgrades for any perk you already own. [/p][p]PRO perks add an additional effect to the base perk, improving your effectiveness against the hordes.[/p][p][/p]
New player class - Covert Ops
[p]In addition to four classes from RTCW multiplayer - a Covert Ops from Enemy Territory was added to Survival. Covert ops has:[/p]
 • [p]Increased melee efficiency[/p]
 • [p]Smoke grenade (new weapon!)[/p]
 • [p]Additional throwing knives[/p]
[p][/p]

New enemies
[p]Two new enemies were added to Survival mode - Trench Soldier and Flesh Zombie. [/p][p]Trench Soldier is an enemy equipped with shotgun. I also meddled with their behaviour a bit they will always try to get to your first and then attack, it might get dangerous in close quarters![/p][p]Flesh Zombie is a unique X-Creature variant of the zombie enemy. They cant attack you with skulls on distance, they have unique skin and soundboard. Also they blow in human gibs, instead of zombie bones.[/p][p][/p]
Misc Survival adjustments
[p]• +2 Venom Soldiers added to each non-undead map[/p][p]• +1 Proto Soldier added to each non-undead map[/p][p]• AI Health Cap toggle added to menu (disabled by default)[/p][p]• Holy Cross now drops from certain entities on undead maps[/p][p]• Soldiers on boss1 Survival now defend their area instead of following player[/p][p]• Fixed issue allowing any team to use aiteam 0 spawn points[/p][p]• Smoother post wave 10 AI health increase[/p][p]• Fast Hands perk will make player load 2 shells at once[/p][p]• Survival classes loadouts overhaul[/p][p][/p]

Campaign levels improvements
[p]AidenDemon continues his work on perfecting visuals of remastered campaign levels. This time he works on further detailing and fixing up Factory and Wulfburg village levels.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Inventory Xbox items now on PC
[p]Three exclusive inventory items from Xbox version of RTCW were also ported to PC. Among those:[/p][p]• Holy Cross[/p][p]Burns and eliminates all undead entities within defined radius.[/p][p]• EMP Device[/p][p]Disables X-Creatures within the defined radius.[/p][p]• X-Shield[/p][p]Protects player from all incoming damage for limited time.[/p][p]I also added three new achievements for their usage. You can find those items on some level of campaign or gain them as a rewards for finding all secrets on certain levels.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Campaign rebalances
[p]Important balance improvements were introduced to campaign. [/p]
 1. [p]Loadouts overhaul. All malta/chapter starting levels loadouts were overhauled. With the introduction of new .loadout files system i was able to properly look at it and change it to find a suitable place for every weapon. Also dealt with a lot of vanilla arsenal overlaps where player coud receive a weapon without vanilla model while playing with vanilla arsenal.[/p]
 2. [p]New weapon roster type - Vanilla + Shotgun. To trully replicate RTCW:Tides of War experience I added this type of arsenal. Just for the folks who dont really want all new weapons but still want something so essential as shotgun.[/p]
 3. [p]Decreased health for undead enemies. All warrior zombie and zombies received a health debuff across all levels. To make them less bulletspongy.[/p]
 4. [p]All NPCs can take headshots now.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p]
Gamepad support
[p]RealRTCW 5.4 finally introduces some massive improvements to the gamepad support.[/p][p]It includes:[/p][p]• Proper movement scaling based on analog sensitivity[/p][p]• Aim assist with adjustable strength scaling[/p][p]• Basic menu navigation[/p][p]• Gamepad layout overhaul[/p][p]• Proper sensitivity sliders[/p][p]• Jump while toggle-crouched now forces stand-up[/p][p]• Simple zoom added for all weapons without alt mode (also usable with KMB)[/p][p]• Knife can now be thrown using zoom button (no separate bind required)[/p][p]• Prevented DPAD auto-repeat[/p][p]I was able to beat the whole game using this native support on Steam Deck, I must say it was hella fun! Try it out![/p][p][/p]
Hitmarkers
[p]In addition to hitsounds RealRTCW now have Hitmarkers. Those were done from ground up by C-ColinTH. Thanks again for your work on this![/p][p][/p]
Massive world textures overhaul
[p]To further improve RealRTCW visual integrity all world HD textures were redone. No more ugly upscales with artifacts - no more out of place HD variants of the textures - it all looks as vanilla but slightly more sharper. This approach allowed me to fix all of the problematic metallic shaders - no more weird brightened metal surfaces in the fog![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Alternative symbolics pack
[p]Alternative symbolics pack was introduced in "Content Packs" menu. It will allow you to replace swastikas with alternative symbolics from the German version of the game. It is not an attempt to censorship anything but rather an attempt to preserve those alternate textures from German version of RTCW. It only affects world textures, not the characters and is turned off by default.[/p][p][/p]
Ability to reset your Steam Achievements
[p]Got all RealRTCW achievements? Wanna go for another round of platinum trophy? You can do so with the new achievement reset feature. To reset all of your RealRTCW Steam achievements you need:[/p]
 1. [p]Launch the game.[/p]
 2. [p]Open the console with ~ or SHIFT+ESC[/p]
 3. [p]Type /spdevmap with any map e.g /spdevmap tram[/p]
 4. [p]Open the console while in game level[/p]
 5. [p]Type /reset_stats[/p]
 6. [p]Type /reset_stats again withing 15 seconds to confirm[/p]
 7. [p]All of your achievements are reset now![/p][p][/p]
Config and saves reset. Again.
[p]I know you guys hate it, but here we go again. [/p][p]RealRTCW 5.4 will reset your configs and saves. [/p][p]But I made a few improvements to the saves/configs system so possible migration and reset wouldnt be so impactful in the future. Other than that sorry for that again. Use the chapter selection menu to get closes to your previous saves as possible![/p][p][/p]
New ways to support
[p]I know Patreon might be not to everyone taste, so I added the ability to donate to RealRTCW development by one time donations through PayPal. You can do so here:[/p]
RealRTCW on Paypal!
[p][/p][p]As always full changelog for RealRTCW 5.4 can be found on Steam Forums![/p][p][/p][p]Cya in May![/p][p]WolfETPlayer[/p]

RealRTCW 5.3 - Released!

[p][/p]
Hello everyone!
[p]I am finally ready to present the RealRTCW 5.3 update. It’s quite an important update, bringing even more improvements to both the Campaign and Survival modes. Let's break it down![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
HD Content Switches — make your game as vanilla as you like!
[p]You are now able to play around with new switches and disable/enable certain HD content depending on your preferences.[/p][p]You can disable or enable any combination of:[/p]
 • [p]HD World Textures[/p]
 • [p]HD Character Uniforms[/p]
 • [p]HQ Sounds[/p]
 • [p]HD World Models[/p]
 • [p]Remastered Maps[/p]
 • [p]HD Icons[/p]
[p]All separately and from the main menu!
This option is also handy for low-end PCs, since it improves performance — if you disable certain assets, they won’t even be loaded into the game memory. This also affects loading times.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Color Filters
[p]You are now able to use two color filters:[/p]
 • [p]Greyscale — basic black and white filter which was already in the code; I just added it to the main menu.[/p]
 • [p]Gothicstein filter — a new filter that plays around with black, white, and red colors only. A tribute to the Castle Gothicstein mod.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Campaign Maps Remasters
[p]Me and AidenDemon are continuing our work on improving original game levels.[/p][p]This time we got our hands on the Heinrich boss fight! Here are a few things we changed about this map:[/p]
 • [p]Proper boss fight music added.[/p]
 • [p]Blackguards will now assist Heinrich from the hill and castle wall during the fight.[/p]
 • [p]Heinrich HP increased across all difficulty levels.[/p]
 • [p]Warrior aggro and speed were dramatically increased.[/p]
 • [p]Heinrich phases added — he will behave differently during various stages of the fight.[/p]
 • [p]Visual geometry improvements, mainly for the pre-arena zone.[/p]
 • [p]Adrenaline and Armor pickups added.[/p]
[p]Overall, the boss fight has become much more dynamic and challenging, giving it a true final boss aura. Check it out and tell us what you think![/p][p]In addition to that, AidenDemon also improved the Wulfburg Village (village1) and Olaric Boss Fight (boss1) remasters, adding more visual details, rebalancing secrets, and fixing misaligned textures![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
New Survival Mode Map — River Outpost. Further Survival Maps Improvements
[p]River Outpost is the first Survival mode map made completely from scratch without using original map layouts. It is a small zombie map where you need to defend a forest military facility with two bridges. You will be able to reinforce your base with friendly soldiers who will man the defenses.[/p][p]In addition to that, we improved visuals of other survival maps like Castle Wolfenstein and Defiled Church, adding more details to out-of-bounds areas![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Special Waves
[p]Special waves are a new Survival mode mechanic. After a certain number of waves, there is a chance that instead of a normal wave, a special wave will start. It features only one special type of enemy and will give you a reward if you make it through!
The feature is completely optional and can be disabled if needed. It is available on all maps except Defiled Church — because the map is just too small for that.[/p][p][/p]
Misc Improvements and Fixes
[p]Many QoL changes and bug fixes were introduced in 5.3: end-level crash fix (caused by vanilla code), AI reloading fix, a fix for the shader overflow bug on large maps, vanilla weapon model fixes, etc.
I also want to say thanks to C-ColinTH, who introduced a lot of these fixes! Keep it up, man![/p][p][/p]
Thanks to the DLC buyers, Patrons and beta testers!
[p]I also wanna say big thanks for everyone who supported me through the DLC purchases and Patreon subscriptions or simply by beta testing. You guys all rock! You are keeping this thing going and giving me constant motivation! Your support is trully invaluable for me. Thank you![/p][p][/p][p]And this is all for today! Stay Psyched![/p][p]WolfETPlayer[/p]

RealRTCW 5.2 - Onslaught Continues!

[p][/p]
Hello everyone!
[p]RealRTCW 5.2 is here! Since Survival was introduced - I was hard at work redoing it from scratch just because 5.1 version was not that I wanted it to be. And now I am ready to present the version of Survival I am satisfied with! Lets break this update down![/p][p][/p]
Waves
[p]Survival pacing was redone from scratch. Enemies are now coming in proper waves with short intermission between them. No more constant onslaught with no room to breath![/p][p][/p]
New Music System
[p]Since pacing of Survival was completely changed with waves - I changed the music system as well. Each wave will start with the new music track which is being randomized. Instead of just 1 randomizing event taking place in the beginning of the game like it was in 5.1.[/p][p][/p]
Weapon Upgrade Station
[p]You can now upgrade your weapons! Upgrade costs 1000 points, its effects differ from weapon to weapon. It improves damage, magazine capacity, reserve ammo, reduce spread, etc. Some weapons get unique effects! For example Upgraded Tesla Gun will set enemies on fire in addition to electrulute effect.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Overhauled Reinforcements
[p]In RealRTCW 5.1 you could only purchase reinforcements one time. In RealRTCW 5.2 this was changed. You can purchase friendly AIs as much as you want. Their behaviour was improved as well - they will follow and protect you instead of lurking through the map.[/p][p][/p]
Enemies Scaling
[p]Enemies health, speed, skill scaling was completely redone. Aim accuracy, attack skill, reaction time, aggression are being scaled for human enemies now. So you wont be destroyed by soldiers at the very beginning of the game. Also changed tempo and caps for all of the scaling parameters. Overall difficulty curve is much more fair now.[/p][p][/p]
New Enemies
[p]New foes reintroduced for Survival mode - Occult Priests, Flame Zombies, Proto Soldiers.[/p][p][/p]
New Maps
[p]Survival received two new maps - Dig and Karsiah.[/p][p]Dig is based on campaign level overhauled into compact fight arena where you must hold off against human enemies.[/p][p][/p][p]Karsiah is set in North Africa and is based on the multiplayer custom map by Henri 'Nenquel' Karhula from Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. In addition to that, single-player mission "Karsiah Raid" is now included into the game as an example Addon. Check out the Addons section![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Maps Overhauls
[p]Current set of Survival maps received a massive overhaul. Each map got a visual detailing treatment as well as addition of buyable doors, additional pathways and improved audio design. Most of the credit for the maps improvements goes to the AidenDemon.[/p][p][/p]
Classes Re-Balance
[p]Survival classes were reinvented too. Here is breakdown of each class:[/p][p][/p][p]Engineer:[/p][p]Full Armor at start[/p][p]4 perks limit instead of 3[/p][p]Dynamite[/p][p][/p][p]Soldier:[/p][p]Panzerfaust at start[/p][p]3 weapons limit instead of 2[/p][p]150% Explosive Damage[/p][p][/p][p]Medic:[/p][p]10x Adrenaline-M4 syringes at start[/p][p]150 HP limit instead of 100[/p][p]Gas Grenade[/p][p][/p][p]LT:[/p][p]+200 points at start[/p][p]150% Reserve Ammo Capacity[/p][p]Artillery and Airstrike[/p][p][/p]
Achievement changes
[p]Two of the Survival Achievements were changed. [/p][p]"Non-monetary Economy" achievement now requires you to survive until Wave 5 without purchasing anything instead of Wave 10.[/p][p]"Classless Society" achievement now requires you to survive until Wave 10 with no class selected instead of Wave 15.[/p][p][/p]
Bug fixes and QOL improvements
[p]Along with overhauled Survival a bunch of fixes and improvements for the game in general arrived with 5.2 as well. Something I wanted to highlight:[/p]
 1. [p]Endgame crash fix. This was happenning when the game was supposed to exit to the main menu after the game ends. It was tough to pinpoint but It was fixed.[/p]
 2. [p]Secrets reward system code refactoring. This caused not working end level trigger bug, when you were approaching level end but couldnt trigger loading of the next level. This bug was related to the secrets reward system and was fixed with this newest refactoring.[/p]
 3. [p]Ability to interrupt reloading by switching the weapon. This QOL feature was requested back in 4.0 days. But I only was able to introduce it now. Extremely usefull, especially in Survival mode. Interrupts reloading sound too (this was tough to add).[/p]
 4. [p]Misc animation fixes for vanilla weapon models.[/p][p] [/p]
[p]As always for the full changelog you can visit the Steam Forums.[/p][p][/p]
Support RealRTCW on Patreon!
[p]Just a kind reminder that RealRTCW has its own Patreon page where you can support the project and get some early content previews![/p]

[p]See you soon,[/p][p]WolfETPlayer.[/p]

RealRTCW 5.1 - Onslaught Begins!

Hey RTCW maniacs!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
New gamemode - Survival
This is the highlight of RealRTCW 5.1 update.
80% of 5.1 development time was spent developing Survival mode.

So what it is exactly? Here is the breakdown:
 • Infinite waves of enemies. Some maps feature human enemies, other - undead.
 • Earn points! Kill enemies with knife or with headshot to earn more!
 • Spend points! Perks, weapons, traps, friendly reinforcements.
 • Flame traps. Be careful not to burn yourself!
 • Friendly reinforcements. Two valiant soldiers to help you out to survive the onslaught!
 • Powerups. Enemies will drop powerups and treasures from time to time. Make sure to pick them up before they disappear to gain temporary buffs!
 • Perk system with 6 perks. You can only equip 3 at once. So choose wisely!
 • Player class system. Soldier, Medic, Engineer and Lieutenant. Each one with his own abilities. Hardcore players can play without any bonuses and abilities by choosing no class.
 • Four maps on release. Castle Wolfenstein, Kugelstadt, Defiled Church and Castle Keep. More to come later!
New Achievements
New five achievements related to Survival mode are also live. Here's the list.
New weapon - HDM pistol
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
New free weapon for all players to use - HDM Silenced Pistol! Its accurate, fast, completely silent, holds 10 bullets but does very little damage to the body. So aim for the head! It is featured in stealth chapters of the game, as well as in survival mode.
Wulfburg Village Remaster
Yet another map remaster is arrived! This time its a village of Wulfurg! A lot of visual improvements were introduced as well as cut content restored. I wont spoil anything! You need to discover it yourself!
Realistic movement improvements
Realistic movement option introduced in 5.0 was a bit tweaked to be less frustrating. Movement is a bit faster, stamina is increased, as well as jump height.
Malta HQ improvements
Malta hub area introduced in 5.0 was improved as well. Almost all environment models were replaced with out custom ones! Chairs, wardrobes, beds, phones, etc.

Some areas like medbay were remade from scratch! Also i resolved blinking entities issue while going through the doors. It should be working just fine right now.
Hitsounds
Hitsounds from Enemy Territory are now available in RealRTCW. Go to the sound settings and enable those for headshots and bodyshots sounds on your enemies!
Localized versions and 5.1 compatibility
Localized versions of the RealRTCW are currently not fully compatible with 5.1 update. Updates will be coming in the following days. For now just use the english version of the game.
