RealRTCW 5.0. Status update. New DLC.
RealRTCW 5.0 update is almost here!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the radio silence for the past few years (wtf?!).

Whose who follow us on Discord or Twitter were probably already informed but RealRTCW 5.0 was in development this whole time and now it is getting prepared to be released.

We just need a few more weeks to polish it around the edges and catch all of the nasty bugs out there.

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. RealRTCW 5.0 is set to be released on 30th of June 2024

This update brings many new things to the table - new hub location map which will serve as a new base of operations for OSA, completely reanimated weapons, new sounds to fit the new weapon animations, overhauled boss fights and so much more! I will get deep into that later, in the release article.

While you waiting for the update you can wishlist our next DLC which will be released alongside RealRTCW 5.0. DLC release notification will also notify you about RealRTCW 5.0 release!

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 20th Anniversary
Hello Wolfenstein community!

Splash Damage co-founders interview
Two years ago we celebrated 20th anniversary of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. And as you remember we had a nice little chat with former Gray Matter Developers - Mike Denny and Jeremy Luyties. For whose who didnt saw it here is the link:

But now as we celebrate Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 20th Anniversary me and William Faure (creator of The Dark Army: Uprising and Wolfenstein: ET Single-Player) decided to have an interview with co-founders of Splash Damage, the studio behind Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Brink and Dirty Bomb.

Interview is live on Youtube. You can watch it here and hear their opinion on Enemy Territory Remake as well as interesting stories about the cut content:

Plans for the future

Hey guys!

It's been a year since our 20th RTCW anniversary event... Unbelievable. Time flies so fast!
What's the next year holds for RealRTCW?
Enemy Territory Expansions
Enemy Territory Single-Player project which is created and maintained by my good friend Wiliiam is going to expand! New set of Enemy Terrioty maps single-player conversions is currently in development.

The first map coming in 2023 is Warbell.

Originally developed by Matthias 'McNite' Neiss, Warbell is simply one of the best occult-themed Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory maps ever released. It fits Return to Castle Wolfenstein so much that it almost feels like a continuation, and not just an excellent tribute.

Set after the events of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the Central Europe campaign of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Single-Player & Cooperative, and based on the scenario of Warbell's remaster, the conversion's story will see B.J. Blazkowicz and his squad mates return, to face some familiar faces who somehow managed to come back from the grave!
But wait there is more!
If thats wasnt enough, William also released a three additional editions of his excellent ETSP mod. Let me walk you through it.

1) Enemy Territory Single-Player - Standard Edition
This is a default edition of ETSP - featuring HD assets and default looking maps.
Giza Pyramid and Karsiah
So, after release of RealRTCW 4.0 I decided to invest my time into mapping. Right now I am working at two maps set in North Africa - Giza Pyramid and Karsiah.

Giza Pyramid will allow you to explore the real layout of the famous Great Pyramid and find out what Paranormal Division is doing there.

Karsiah is a single-player conversion of the Enemy Territory map. It is set in the small north african town. I am still not sure if its gonna be a two maps tied by one storyline or separate maps, will see how it goes.

Oh and btw check out my W3D - E1M1 conversion! I made this as a simple mapping exercise.

Vanilla Plus DLC is now available!
Hey everyone!
Just a quick update this time.

Reworked and improved version of Vanilla Plus addon which is aimed to preserve the original game feel even more while still keeping RealRTCW 4.0 QOL improvements is now live on Steam!

Now all weapons have their "vanilla-like" model which contains far less polygons than RealRTCW HD models. But you can still disable new weapons thanks to the "Arsenal Type" switch in the game options.

In addition to that Vanilla Plus is no longer restricted from any of the RealRTCW QOL features. Achievements, custom maps, new enemies, reinforcements... Everything is compatible with it now.

All you need to do to activate Vanilla Plus is download DLC below.

!If you want to switch between HD version of RealRTCW and Vanilla Plus one - just uncheck/check Vanilla Plus DLC in the RealRTCW game properties on Steam.!

Almost forgot... There is another DLC i released a few days ago which makes German characters speak their native language. You can check that out too. Activation/deactivation process is the same as for Vanilla Plus.
