RealRTCW 5.3 - Released!
[p]
[/p]
Hello everyone!
[p]I am finally ready to present the RealRTCW 5.3 update. It’s quite an important update, bringing even more improvements to both the Campaign and Survival modes. Let's break it down![/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
HD Content Switches — make your game as vanilla as you like!
[p]You are now able to play around with new switches and disable/enable certain HD content depending on your preferences.[/p][p]You can disable or enable any combination of:[/p]
This option is also handy for low-end PCs, since it improves performance — if you disable certain assets, they won’t even be loaded into the game memory. This also affects loading times.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Color Filters
[p]You are now able to use two color filters:[/p]
[/p]
Campaign Maps Remasters
[p]Me and AidenDemon are continuing our work on improving original game levels.[/p][p]This time we got our hands on the Heinrich boss fight! Here are a few things we changed about this map:[/p]
[/p]
New Survival Mode Map — River Outpost. Further Survival Maps Improvements
[p]River Outpost is the first Survival mode map made completely from scratch without using original map layouts. It is a small zombie map where you need to defend a forest military facility with two bridges. You will be able to reinforce your base with friendly soldiers who will man the defenses.[/p][p]In addition to that, we improved visuals of other survival maps like Castle Wolfenstein and Defiled Church, adding more details to out-of-bounds areas![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Special Waves
[p]Special waves are a new Survival mode mechanic. After a certain number of waves, there is a chance that instead of a normal wave, a special wave will start. It features only one special type of enemy and will give you a reward if you make it through!
The feature is completely optional and can be disabled if needed. It is available on all maps except Defiled Church — because the map is just too small for that.[/p][p][/p]
Misc Improvements and Fixes
[p]Many QoL changes and bug fixes were introduced in 5.3: end-level crash fix (caused by vanilla code), AI reloading fix, a fix for the shader overflow bug on large maps, vanilla weapon model fixes, etc.
I also want to say thanks to C-ColinTH, who introduced a lot of these fixes! Keep it up, man![/p][p][/p]
Thanks to the DLC buyers, Patrons and beta testers!
[p]I also wanna say big thanks for everyone who supported me through the DLC purchases and Patreon subscriptions or simply by beta testing. You guys all rock! You are keeping this thing going and giving me constant motivation! Your support is trully invaluable for me. Thank you![/p][p][/p][p]And this is all for today! Stay Psyched![/p][p]WolfETPlayer[/p]
