Hello Grid Forcers

We are at the end of this year, and before taking a few days trying to relax by playing some video games, I would love to look back at this year and see with you what was done. Also, how about a sneak peek at what is to come? Well, continue reading then...

[h3]From Grid Fight to Grid Force[/h3]



First of all, this is the year we went from "Grid Fight" to "Grid Force - Mask Of The Goddess", and I have the feeling we never explained why of this decision.

The reason is... well... because you know... "Force" sounds cooler than "Fight" I guess? No for real, while the game has fights and wars at its core, we wanted the title to also tell a bit of the story. The "grids" are not only random places where you fight enemies but are also divine areas, designated to achieve your destiny. Grids have rules that need to be followed, in order to stop the reboot of Gora.

How about "Mask Of The Goddess" then? That's because the masks are powerful artifacts that can literally change the destiny of the world. Not only they are strong tools to use in the fights, but they are also a key element in the story. Donna will have to conquer them all if she wants to have a chance to save her newly-found family.

[h3]New Mechanics[/h3]





We wanted to spice up gameplay by adding new mechanics. Following the mantra "easy to pick up, hard to master" we made sure that the game was enjoyable at any level. Skilled players can now stagger easily by frame-parring and shooting at the right time. While beginners can still win fights by unleashing a hell of bullets (break the spacebar!) Overall, the gameplay evolved a lot and finally reflects the vision we had when we started the development back in 2019.

Ok, you have no idea how many iterations with did on the UI. And we are pretty pleased with the latest results. It looks like it's able to give all the right information without being too overwhelming. So *pat pat* to us. But if you disagree, let us know.

[h3]Improved Art[/h3]





How about some cool art? This year we stepped up our game on arts and concept, plus the comics are becoming even more mind-boggling. Cannot wait to show you more next year. Speaking of which...

[h3]What is Coming on Grid Force in 2022?[/h3]

Actually, Grid Force is coming in 2022! So you can expect a release date followed by an official announcement. But that's not all. We have just finished showcasing the at the id@Xbox demo event during the TGA Awards, announcing the game to be released on the Xbox console too, and, more consoles announcements are coming soon next year!

We are also working on a new mechanic that will give some breather between battles, in which the player can freely move around the conquered grid and decide whether to start a conversation or to jump directly to the next fight. This will give more control to you, the player, to decide the pacing of the game.

Finally, we will have more showcases and events getting closer to the release date. So 2022 it's going to be incredible and I hope you will be with us on this journey!
