Version 0.1.1-alpha - Now Live!

V0.1.1-alpha brings bug fixes & minor features. This is not a large release, and we are working on more features that we're excited to talk more about soon!

Changelog
Features & Improvements
• SCP-173 has been reworked, and will now wander instead of teleporting. While wandering, he can open any unlocked door, use elevators, and move across the map quickly. When pursuing player(s), he can only open non-keycard doors (and opens them much slower), and cannot use elevators. He will still teleport into certain rooms (eg. LCZ testing chamber & HCZ 173 hall).
 • Replaced all of the game's icons with a new icon that looks better.
 • Added unverified warning upon joining servers that aren't verified.
 • Updated texture download UI to fit the same theme as the rest of the UI.
 • The closet door no longer forces open after the scientist and janitor are killed (this was unfair with 173 spawning there).
Commands & Logs
• Added info command to the server console, which reveals the amount of players on the server, and whether or not the server is updated.
 • Added broadcast command to the server console.
 • Added offlineban command to the admin panel.
 • Chat logs now include the user's Steam ID.
 • Added additional log when a user is banned.
Bug Fixes
• Removed the HDRP setting on the main menu (HDRP was removed last update, this setting didn't do anything).
 • Fixed items not dropping from bodies if body info is disabled.
 • Fixed SCP-106 attacking players before the game has started.
 • Added ambient triggers to each room, which should fix the bug related to lingering ambient from the wrong zone (eg. restarting the game with pocket dimension ambient still playing).
 • Fixed IP banning not functioning properly (IPs were an empty message).
 • SCP-106 can now pass through clean room and lock room doors.

Upcoming Entities Survey

We are looking for your feedback on what entities to add next to Escape Together! Entities includes human classes (non-playable), or non-playable SCPs! Please take a few minutes to fill out the linked form below, as we'd like to see what entities you are looking forward to seeing next! The form is anonymous, however you may choose to provide your Discord username if you'd like.

All decisions as to which entities make it in game next are up to the development team, however this form will act as a guide as to which entities the community (you!) would like to see next.
Update: The survey has concluded. Thanks to all of those who have participated in our survey! We have gained some valuable feedback, and we will be announcing some big updates soon!
Version 0.1.0-alpha - Now Live!

V0.2.1.7 was a big release, and came with multiple bugs that V0.1.0-alpha has fixed. Additionally, V0.1.0 adds and removes features that were requested, and reworks features that were causing issues in V0.2.1.7. Changelog below.

Changelog
Major Features
• Rewritten backend networking library. This is what caused previous issues, such as infinite loading, forced blinking, etc.
 • Rewritten backend culling. This is what caused the bug where players were unable to see anything at the start of the game, as well as rooms such as SCP-939's room disappearing upon entry.
 • Removed HDRP. We are focusing on improving the lighting using an alternative that will allow lower-end PCs to also play, without setting up two entirely different lighting systems. More news on this soon.
 • Introduced a new font (Open Sans) that will be replacing the old text in most locations. This font has support for characters in other languages, allowing easier translating.
 • Introduced a new body inspection system, which allows to pick up items and view death causes from a new UI.
 • Added viewmodels for holding items.
Minor Features
• Alphabetizing language list
 • Death chat message has been turned into a config, allowing servers to easily turn it off.
 • Introduced death bass vibration sound effect, which will be played when someone dies. Can be enabled or disabled in configs.
 • Introduced various keycard spawns across the map.
 • Dead bodies will now teleport with elevators.
 • Added a new LCZ office room that will correspond with lore later on.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed some issues involving SCP-294's networking code.
 • Can no longer sprint in the Pocket Dimension (previously sprinting was possible, even though the sprint meter displayed empty).
 • Fixing the configs for the intro timer being ignored, and the timer not working. Additionally, the timer config now defaults to 60 instead of 20.

Version 0.2.1.7-rev3: Now Live!

We have released Version 0.2.1.7-rev3, which fixes a minor bug and adds some balance changes:

Bug Fixes
• Fixed a graphical bug which caused some players to have a black screen when joining a lobby.

Minor Balance changes
• Lockroom gas will now deal damage when the Lockroom is closed to prevent players from getting stuck.
• Added some extra keycard spawns.
