Major Update for DreamDasher v1.14

Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on DreamDasher!  We just released a major update (v1.14) that includes the following improvements.  These are all improvements based on player feedback. Thank you for sending them in!

  • Added new Speedrun Game Mode. When starting the game you now choose between the default Story Mode which is the original version of the game and Speedrun Mode. Speedrun is the game with all of the dialogue and the boss battles removed. For Speedrun mode, you can use the Pause Menu, but there is no saving and loading option. When you start the speedrun, you need to play it until the end credits to complete it and get the achievement and on the leaderboards. In addition, Speedrun mode has some settings fixed. For example, the difficulty for the chase scenes is locked to what is similar to the Hard difficulty setting in Story Mode,
  • For Speedrun mode, there are two new leaderboards. One for your fastest speedrun time all up, and one for the fastest speedrun time when all of the crystals are collected.
  • We added improved jumping and dashing when you are in a corner (on the ground and next to a wall). We got a lot of feedback about this one. This allows you to now get some height when jumping and dashing next to corners/walls and terrain with edges.
  •  Small movement and level/room improvements.
  •  Additional bug fixes.

These changes are available in the v1.14 release (you can see the version in the lower left on the main menu). Thank you again for all of your input, and please post any additional feedback to the discussion board or send email to [email protected].  Thank you!

Major Update for DreamDasher v1.12

Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on DreamDasher!  We just released a major update (v1.12) that includes the following important improvements.

  •  Improved wall jump physics.  How high you jump up the wall is now determined by how long you press the jump key.  A quick tap jumps a short distance up the wall, whereas a good press jumps a longer distance up the wall.
  •   Improved gravity physics so DreamDasher feels less floaty.  This is most noticeable when jumping off of walls.
  •  Improved the ability to quickly move off a wall during a wall slide to address feedback about the walls feeling too sticky.
  •  Small level/room improvements based on player feedback.
  •  Added the ability to modify and adjust the Touch Controls. This can be done in the in-game menu (press ESC while playing the game), then go to Settings and then go to Touch Control Settings.
  •  Additional bug fixes (e.g., fixed an out of bounds bug recently reported).

These changes are available in the v1.12 release (you can see the version in the lower left on the main menu). Thank you again for all of your input, and please post any additional feedback to the discussion board or send email to [email protected].  Thank you!

Major Update for DreamDasher v1.11

Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on DreamDasher these past couple weeks!  We just released a major update (v1.11) that includes the following important improvements.

  • Added Dash indicator and Gravity indicator. There are now indicators showing if DreamDasher has its DashAttack and/or Gravity available.  If DashAttack is availble you will see an Orange glow around DreamDasher.  If Gravity control is available, you will see Orange vapors coming out of the top of DreamDasher. These will disappear when you've consumed your DashAttack and/or Gravity control while in the air until you touch the ground again.
  •  Improved Wall Jump
  •  Improved boss battles to better leverage skills learned during the game
  •  Revised the tutorial to focus on dashing abilities needed to complete the game
  •  Improved hitbox and collision detection for spikes, DreamDasher and Nightmare
  •   Added the ability to accelerate when sliding down the wall
  •  Relaxed the criteria to achieve time to complete and death achievements, and these are also unlocked on Easy mode now.  If you've finished the game you can load the finished save game and any additional achievements earned with these changes in v1.11 will be unlocked.
  •  Fixed timer bug on lasers
  •  and many more smaller fixes

These changes are available in the v1.11 release (you can see the version in the lower left on the main menu). Thanks again for all of your input, and please post any additional feedback to the discussion board or send email to [email protected].  Thank you!
