The Seance of Blake Manor News

Hello detectives,

We will be holding a closed beta test between 14-18 July 2025 and we need your help.

We need detectives to playtest The Séance of Blake Manor and provide feedback to our team.



The Séance of Blake Manor is a supernatural detective mystery, set in 1897 Ireland, where you investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane in a remote hotel full of secrets and other-worldly occurrences.

Testers will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to be included in the closed beta, confirming you will not publicly post or share information about the game.

Testers will be required to have a Steam account and it would be beneficial for them to join the Spooky Doorway Discord server where they will be granted access to the relevant closed beta channels.

We’re excited to share that The Séance of Blake Manor is an Official Selection of LudoNarraCon and will be featured as part of the narrative steam festival from 1st – 5th May 2025.



Alongside the event we will be opening the doors to Blake Manor and inviting you to join the guests and staff as our first public demo goes live on 30th April.

You’ll be able to explore the Manor, learn more about the staff and guests of the mysterious hotel and begin your investigation into the disappearance of Evelyn Deane.

The demo will be available until 5th May, so make sure to check it out while it’s available.

The Séance of Blake Manor is a supernatural detective mystery, set in 1897 Ireland, where you investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane in a remote hotel full of secrets and other-worldly occurrences.

As Detective Declan Ward, you’ll interview and interrogate an eclectic group of suspects to learn more about their motivations and unearth any clues they may be hiding.

While building a case, you'll get to record the details in Declan’s journal, then use your findings to uncover the truth about Blake Manor, its residents, and the mysterious séance that has brought these unusual guests together.



But you'll need to be careful, as every action counts down your time and you'll need to be in the right place at the right time to uncover all of the secrets the manor holds.

Inspired by Irish Mythology and the spiritualist movements of the Victorian era, The Séance of Blake Manor is depicted by a beautiful comic-book art style and comes to you from the creators of The Darkside Detective.

We've been working on this for a long time and are delighted to finally share some new updates. You'll be hearing a lot more about Blake Manor in the weeks and months ahead, but for now, here's some key details to get you started.
