Dinosaur Passive Growth Changes

🔹Passive growth now happens at the same interval regardless of dinosaur age, every one second. The amount of growth that happens at every passive growth interval now gets smaller as your dinosaur grows older. The smaller your species is the faster your passive growth rate is.

🔹(New Buff) Enhanced Growth. Gain stacks of Enhanced Growth for every bite of food you take, more nutritious food gives you more stacks per bite. You lose one stack of Enhanced Growth every second. While standing, you gain the effects of double the normal passive growth rate. While sitting or sleeping, you gain the effects of triple the normal passive growth rate. Enhanced Growth rate stacks are saved and loaded with your dinosaurs.

🔹The amount of experience points gained from advancing to the next growth stage has been changed. I wanted growing to the next growth stage to be more rewarding. Juveniles can raise a single stat to 5, sub-adults can raise 6 stats to 10 (up from just one stat to 10), adults can raise 4 stats to 20 (up from just one stat to 20), and elders can raise 2 stats to 40 (up from 1 stat to 40). These bonus experience points are only gained when you grow to the next growth stage so you'll miss out on them if you start a new dinosaur at an advanced growth stage.

🔹The camera now sees under the terrain less often.

🔹Improved the accuracy of dinosaurs aligning to the terrain slope.

🔹Added a new 'Early-Access Disclaimer' screen to the startup of the game.

🔹Oviraptor, Troodon, and Velociraptor had their movement speed reduced by 1 tier.

Multiplayer Updates and Bug Fixes

Update 0.8.95.45


🔹(Multiplayer) Multiplayer mode has been unlocked for players of the demo version of the game. Now you can try out multiplayer mode before you buy the game. Play with people who own the full version of the game and people that are just trying out the demo. Look forward to more multiplayer mode updates in the future.

🔹(UI) Overhead healthbar backgrounds are now slightly transparent.

🔹(Multiplayer) Current rotation for dinosaurs is now sent along with the other initial dinosaur data to connecting players.

🔹(Multiplayer) Most animation states for dinosaurs are now sent along with the other initial dinosaur data to connecting players. (More animation state synchronization will be done in the future)

🔹(Music) Our first ambient music track has been added to the game! It has been added to the playlist for the jungle biome.

🔹(Bug fix) Health regeneration is now regenerating the correct amount of health, passively (standing), passively (sitting/sleeping), and per bite of food.

🔹(Bug fix) Getting hungry is now depleting hunger by the correct amount passively and while moving.

🔹(Bug fix) Getting thirsty is now depleting thirst by the correct amount passively.

🔹(Multiplayer) The rest of the animation states have been synchronized for initial dinosaur states for when clients join a server. You'll see dead dinosaurs as actually being dead when you join a server and you'll also see sitting or sleeping dinosaurs as actually sitting or sleeping when you join a server.

Multiplayer Updates

🔹Players from different regions around the world should now all be able to play together in a multiplayer game.

🔹Other dinosaurs' movement should now be more smooth for players that connect to a server.

🔹Doing damage while attacking should now be working for players that connect to a server.

🔹Gaining experience from kills should now be working for players that connect to a server.

🔹Players that connect to a a server should now be able to see other players' names above their dinosaurs for dinosaurs that had entered the game before they connected to the server.

🔹The chat input field should now be able to receive focus while the system messages log is still open by pressing the "Enter" key.

🔹Getting items from killing dinosaurs now works during a multiplayer game.

🔹A map no longer has default dinosaur spawns that are loaded when the map loads. Now each nest randomly spawns dinosaurs of its species of varying growth stages when the map loads. This was done to have more of a sense of dinosaur community around the nests.

Small Updates

Update 0.8.95.20


🔹The coniferous forest has been recreated with higher terrain detail. It also features a lake with fresh water for drinking.

🔹Gaining hydration from eating food is now much less effective. This was done to encourage dinosaurs to travel to their map's fresh water source to drink.

🔹Drinking water restores less hydration per drink. This was to encourage spending a little more time at the source of fresh water.

🔹The loading screen images have been updated.

🔹Now even less hydration is restored per bite of food to encourage drinking from a fresh water source.

🔹Protoceratops has 5 times more flesh.

🔹The enter key should now work to show or hide the system messages log.

🔹When choosing one of your dinosaurs for play that has already been hatched your dinosaur will spawn around its species' nest if available, if not available it will spawn around the map's default nest.

🔹A map's default nests are now able to be smelled (these are nests that don't belong to any one species).

Coniferous Forest, Jungle, and Desert Maps Recreated

🔹The desert map has been recreated with higher terrain detail.

🔹The desert map also features an oasis with fresh water for drinking.

🔹The jungle map has been recreated with higher terrain detail.

🔹The deciduous forest map now also features a lake with fresh water for drinking.

🔹The coniferous forest map has been recreated with higher terrain detail.
