Standard Rendering Pipeline

🔹The game has switched from using Unity's High Definition Rendering Pipeline to using the Standard Rendering Pipeline. I didn't have enough expertise or knowledge to get the High Definition Rendering Pipeline to look good so I switched to the rendering pipeline I could get better graphics with.

🔹The game's gamma levels have changed because of switching to the Standard Rendering Pipeline. The new default value is 50%. You may need to manually adjust the gamma slider to get the best level of brightness.

🔹The motion blur camera affect is now set to off by default.

🔹Now you have to click the apply button to get the view distance gameplay options to take affect.

🔹Fixed a glitch where you had to readjust your audio settings every time you started the game.

🔹Added a new graphics option to enable or disable volumetric lighting.

🔹Added a new graphics option to enable ACES tonemapping (Linear tonemapping is used if this is turned off).

🔹Added a new graphics option to adjust the strength of the Linear or ACES tonemapping.

🔹The deciduous forest has new grass, plants, and trees.

🔹The prairie has new grass and plants.

🔹The coniferous forest has new grass, plants, and trees.

🔹The desert has new cactus.

🔹The edible plants for the prairie, deciduous forest, coniferous forest, and desert have been replaced with different models.

🔹The edible trees have been replaced with different models.

🔹Edible fish objects have new models.

🔹AI dinosaurs can now spawn on the beach.

🔹AI dinosaurs no longer walk through trees or boulders.

🔹The player's dinosaur was not always making their call noise when they pressed the key for playing their call noise.

🔹Smaller AI dinosaurs should now be quieter and larger AI dinosaurs should now be louder when calling.

🔹Ambient wind sounds are once again playing in the desert while the wind level is greater than 0.

Gameplay Options v1

🔹There is now a new tab in the game options called 'Gameplay'. It contains two different sets of options.

🔹The first new set of options is the 'Spawning' options. These sliders control how many random dinosaurs spawn around the map. When you change and apply this value you'll need to reload the current map in order for the changes to take affect. When the slider is at 100% that means 1000 creatures of that type will be able to spawn randomly. When the slider is at 0% that means that no creatures of that type will be able to spawn randomly. The default value for terrestrial creatures is 300. The default value for aerial creatures is 50. The default value for amphibious creatures is 25. The default value for aquatic creatures is 300. Changing this value can affect the game's FPS.

🔹The second new set of options controls how far away you can see dinosaurs and edible plants. Changing the view distance for dinosaurs can have a big impact on FPS because the dinosaurs are coming out of their inactive state and are becoming active, wandering around, looking for food, etc.

🔹The build now uses the 'Default' compression method instead of the 'LZ4' compression method. This was done to reduce patch size and enable Steam to determine which chunks of game data need to be downloaded for patches. If the game crashes on startup after this update please uninstall and reinstall the game, that should fix the problem.

Aquatic AI Reversal

🔹Aquatic dinosaurs should now turn around and swim back out to sea if they come too close to land.

Player Hiding v1

🔹You can now attempt to hide from nearby predators by sitting or sleeping, this reduces the range at which they can see or smell you.

Left/Right Strafing

🔹The player's dinosaur can now strafe left/right around the camera's focal point.

🔹You can now zoom the camera out further.

🔹You can now zoom the camera in/out faster.

🔹Tyrannosaurus' turn speed is now twice as slow.
