Guide: Researching and Purchasing Vehicles
Greetings, Commanders!
There are more than 600 vehicles of 11 game nations in World of Tanks. To get access to the different vehicles, player must first research and then buy them.
Types of Vehicles Each vehicle falls into one of four categories.
· Researchable vehicles—a vast collection of vehicles of different nations and types, available to all players.
· Premium vehicles—unique vehicles that you don’t need to research. You can buy Premium vehicles for gold or bonds in the in-game Store.
· Collectors' vehicles—special vehicles that are available for credits in the in-game Store, and are not bound to the Tech Tree. The maximum tier of Collectors’ vehicles available to the player depends on the highest tier of vehicle researched within the corresponding nation. For example, by researching a Tier V vehicle in the French Tech Tree, you will gain access to all French Collectors’ vehicles up to and including Tier V.
· Reward and Special vehicles—rare vehicles that are usually obtained in special battle modes and in-game events.

All researchable vehicles can be researched using Combat Experience or blueprints. All these vehicles can also be purchased using credits.
To begin research of any tank, you need to research all preceding vehicles in its Tech Tree. Additionally, you need to research some of the key modules in order to research some of the tanks.
Let’s see how to add new vehicles to your collection of combat machines.
Research New Tanks With Combat Experience
You will need Combat Experience to research new tanks:
1. Click Research in the upper-right corner of the Garage to access the current vehicle’s Tech Tree.
2. Choose the tank you want to get next—under the tank name, you can see the amount of Combat XP required for it. You can research a tank only if the preceding tanks have been researched and you have enough XP for the desired tank. Usually, you have to unlock a certain number of modules of the current vehicle before you can research the next one.
3. Click the cost and confirm your action.
Research New Tanks With Blueprints
Vehicle blueprints are special items that provide a discount to the research cost of Tier II–X vehicles research.
Each blueprint consists of fragments that can be received in the following ways:
• By completing Daily Missions
• By completing special missions of Prime Gaming Kits
• By completing Stages in Battle Pass
• By taking part in various in-game events
Each blueprint fragment provides a certain percentage discount to the research cost, and with a fully assembled blueprint, you can research the vehicle without spending any experience at all.
The main rule is the same as researching for XP—you need to research the preceding tank and unlock some of the modules in order to climb the Tech Tree.

To research using a vehicle blueprint fragment:
1. Go to the TECH TREE tab in your Garage and click on the blueprints icon in the upper-left part of the screen.
2. Vehicles for which you have blueprint fragment available are marked with a special icon. Select a vehicle and click Blueprint on its research screen.
3. On the screen displayed, click any available slot for a blueprint fragment and click Create. The required number of national and universal fragments will be withdrawn.
4. If you have plenty of national and universal fragments, click Create Maximum in the lower-right part of the screen. The maximum possible number of blueprint fragments for the selected vehicle will be created.
5. Done! As soon as you have at least one blueprint fragment for the vehicle, the discount on research is applied. Vehicles with such discounts are marked with a special icon in the Tech Tree.
