Ñuhu
The Mixtec, the third largest group of native Mexican peoples, inhabiting the region known as La Mixteca, used the term Ñuhu to refer to their sacred beings, also considered as protectors of crops.
Ñuhu were the spirits of earth that lived in nature. They could appear in rivers, springs, roads and rocks. As a matter of fact, Mixtec codex, they are represented as anthropomorphic rocks decorated with red paint and small rectangular projections above their heads and around their body.
You will encounter several of these spirits during your journey in Mictlan: the Ñuhu will help you unlock different paths of your destiny.
