Beast Recruitment: Let's Discuss The Beast Army

Greetings to all!
You must take on the heavy role of Commander, recruited by the Dragoness, in her bid to conquer and bring peace to the world. However, a dangerous road lies ahead of you in this journey, and you need to do some recruiting of your own – beast recruitment!

Build up a powerful beast army to command as your allies but be sure to manage those resources because you will need plenty to keep an army going! Let’s take a brief look over some of the creatures you can recruit from the mercenary in the early game:
Centaur
One of the most common beasts you can recruit is a Centaur and you will find them in all the mercenaries you come across in early gameplay. You also start the game with this creature in your army, so you can use their skills straight away. Their basic stats are quite high and so this makes them a useful ally for beginners.

The centaurs are the best ranged attackers so they can slowly chip away at an enemy from a distance. However, the closer you get the more damage you can inflict – be careful though this is also a weak point for the Centaurs! Keep your eyes peeled for Artefacts to boost their power as well as you play.
Oaken Ent
Oaken Ent is the second most common beast and is a very useful nature ally in the form of a tree. They are very tanky so can take a hit like a champ due to their shield and health being high. They also have decent attack power if needed however their movement range is poor so keep this in mind when strategizing.

This creature is best for support with the ability to cast magic and an extremely useful spell that can root enemies and restrict their movements. Use this in conjunction with the Centaurs to keep enemies away from your party and you have a great team combination.
Harpy
A half bird/half women beast, the Harpy has great movement range and spell points that can be extremely useful as turning the tide of battle! Overall, their health isn’t the greatest, but the strong point of the Harpy lies in its ability to affect the dodge stats of units and also decreasing the attack power of enemies. Works best at taking out weaker enemies on the grid quickly and efficiently.
Griffon
The magnificent Griffon, half eagle/half lion and for obvious reasons have extremely good movement range – the whole map! This is great for inflicting bursts of damage or finishing off enemies like a winged assassin! Buff this advantage and power with certain spells too so be sure to unlock what you can as you play.

Also make use of their movement to aid your party, deter ranged attackers by flying close to the enemy and forcing them into a melee with you. Griffons also have the chance to affect the turn order by increasing the initiative of a targeted ally.
Mud Gremlin
Pesky little gremlins as the name suggests but thankfully useful for your battle in a pinch. These beasts are versatile having both long and short ranged attacks. Their attacks aren’t amazing, but their biggest selling point is the default spell which can decrease dodging on faster enemies.

Taurus
The powerhouse Taurus can really help boost your team in many ways. Not only do they have strong attack power, they also have good health too so you can afford to take some hits as its going to take a lot to bring them down.
Taurus also have the temporary move range buff which can either increase their own movement – which unfortunately is rather small – or help aid an Ent in battle to further their fight on the grid.
