Audio Update!
With my first initial release on steam, most of the feedback was about sound and why there was none! Adding sounds was always on the list of things to do but I needed to figure out how best to implement it. My original thought was it would be nearly impossible to distinguish between the sounds once the level had a lot of towers and effects in play. After some thought, I was able to implement a system where sound effects are played based upon the camera, which also led to performance improvements!
Currently, most towers have a sound effect which is played when selecting it or after construction is complete. Also, most monsters have a sound effect which is played also when selecting it or when special type of waves occur. Finally, a lot of towers have a sound effect that is played when it fires a projectile. As time goes on, I will add and improve the sounds played.
Also, I was able to add new tower textures for many of the old towers, at least 15 of the towers have been updated visually. This leaves only a few towers that still need to be updated which I hope to have done soon, within the next month.
Finally, Any and All Feedback is very much appreciated! Feel free to post in the discussion board on steam with any questions, comments, etc.
Until next time...
