Hotfix v0.14.6.13

Here's a very small hotfix to resolve an issue where some users could click on the "Scrap All" button on their own death box, accidentally turning all their belongings into Scrap.

  • Scrap All button is no longer available on death boxes spawned in after this update (old ones will still have them)
  • Removed in-game backup save prompt that was unintentionally in the game because I accidentally pushed our work in progress code

We've also fixed some minor issues in this patch. Please do let us know via ESC -> Help -> Report a Bug with your save file uploaded if you still encounter any navigation issues after this patch.

Make sure your waiting queues are on plot floors, you have an open sign near your shop floor, and that all customer interactable items are placed on top of floors. Customers can't access items if they aren't placed on floor tiles.

  • Fixed Washing Machine and Dryer items flying around like crazy
  • Fixed a hole near Kazai Castle allowing players to get underneath the river
  • Temporarily disabled loading backup save from within the ESC menu for now until we reconfigure the backup save flow to work in-game instead of in the lobby

Hotfix v0.14.6.11

Here's a small hotfix targeting some more save system and nav mesh issues. Have fun!

  • Wet attribute FX now wrap around the character collider (for example on Chickens the FX used to stretch well above their heads but now it fits them)
  • Plants in Crop Plots will die if the Crop Plot is destroyed
  • Trees planted in Crop Plots will instantly explode instead of entering physics mode first
  • Every patch, the shop will rescan itself at least once per plot to account for any nav mesh fixes done
  • When customers purchase and put on multiple clothes via a shopping basket, they won't cycle to their old purchased clothes anymore

  • Removed an object dictionary that didn't need to exist which should save some memory

  • Fixed Researcher quest not saving number of researched nodes properly
  • Fixed case where if a client placed items that it wouldn't cut the nav mesh properly and thus cause AI to walk on top of objects weirdly

  • Fixed items falling off walls and causing unintended consequences due to save optimization changes
  • Fixed dragging and dropping items with in-world drag move not updating nav mesh properly
  • AI chase encounters will now end at 50 units to prevent AI from reaching you when they shouldn't
  • Added warning if you start an intermediate training course if the employee doesn't have the skill yet
  • Fixed wrong optimized save version mesh of Castle Stone Foundation
  • Fixed shop floors sometimes not being set properly to the correct shop once per session when loading in with a lot of floors in your shop
  • Removed another database of night raids that could attacked your buildings
  • Fixed nav mesh not updating properly if you drag select items from the world into containers
  • Fixed a case where customers would still say that they're at the cash register or shopping when they are actually leaving your shop
  • Fixed a case where customers would take the long way around to exit your shop
  • Fixed Bubu not saving in the water if you threw it into the water
  • Fixed crafting continuing to consume fuel items even if the output inventory is too full to continue crafting
  • Fixed outpost lamp moving to weird location when hit in Researcher Camp
  • Removed deprecated beaker items in Researcher Camp
  • Possibly fixed an issue being stuck at 100% loading when teleporting to Researcher Camp for some players
  • Fixed some code exceptions

Hotfix v0.14.6.10

Hello! Here are a few more fixes to address some issues that players and internal developers encountered.

  • Removed Plant Fiber drops from Banana Tree and increased its Banana drops instead (the trunks still drop Plant Fiber)
  • Night raids rebalanced to have Bellcoats later on and have fewer Ghouls early on
  • Banana Tree and Cactus destroy immediately instead of falling down
  • Banana Tree sways less in the wind


[h3]🛠️ General Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed items not having beauty when returning to the shop (this is due to our optimizations)
  • Fixed extremely rare edge case where loading the shop wouldn't load the shop's nav mesh causing customers to not be able to pathfind in the shop due to some async timing issues
  • Fixed customers being unable to pathfind if a door was placed very close to the shop plot edges
  • Fixed customers sometimes getting stuck on the shop plot tiles if they were trying to run away in fear
  • Fixed a rare edge case where customers that were feared no longer moved if they were on a plot tile
  • Possibly fixed a rare issue where crafting UI slots were not populating as expected (let us know if this still happens to you since we couldn't reproduce this ever)
  • Fixed night raid enemies sometimes not moving or attacking properly because they were incorrectly targeting building pieces (supposed to be deprecated behavior due to it not being fun)
  • Adjusted light locations for Dojo ceiling lanterns to be more accurate and not leak through floors above
  • Fixed client putting stacked items in containers through item placing mode (clicking on the mesh) causing the item to not appear for them
  • Scythe should no longer drop extra seeds unless it is the killing blow
  • Crafting UI should update instantly now instead of requiring you to reopen the crafting UI to see new recipes
  • Client should see new recipes indicator in crafting UI now when recipes are unlocked
  • Fixed Banana Tree taking too long to grow and had it explode instantly for better polish
  • Fixed Defensive Spike sometimes not dealing DoT while enemies are inside it if it is in an optimized save state
  • Fixed rare case where customers can grab displays from a floor above
  • Fixed rare case where customers can mantle up to the floor above then get stuck
  • Fixed Locker colliders not matching visuals
  • Changed Ronin and Outlaw cutouts to not have world space material
  • Fixed a spot in the prologue where you could get stuck in the shooting range area
  • Fixed a few rare code exceptions

Here's a summary of the tweaks we've made that should improve the overall shopkeeping experience.

  • Removed "Scrap All" button from mannequins and armor stands so that players don't accidentally scrap their collections

  • Improved accuracy of employee wage calculations during simulation

  • Fixed ultra rare case where if the host closes the server while you're fading to your ESC menu that your ESC menu would stay on the main menu
  • Fixed leg inverse kinematics not turning off sometimes for other players (such as when sitting in a chair or in a Golf Cart)
  • Fixed police trying to add fines to defensive spikes and turrets
  • Fixed employees sometimes gathering 0 items if they were too low of a level which caused phantom objects for clients as well
  • Fixed employees reading stack counts incorrectly which caused them to always restock or gather when they should move on to another task
  • Fixed 45 degree roofs being difficult to dismantle due to offset collider after loading a shop
