2025/02/08 Multiple Updates and a New Public Beta Test Branch

Due to limited internal resources, we are unable to fully test every new release before deployment. To address this, we have decided to open a Beta branch that contains updates that have not undergone full testing. We hope the community can help us test this version. If there are no major issues, the updates will be merged into the stable (relatively stable) version. Additionally, this Beta branch may include more experimental and ambitious features. If the player community finds some of these experiments interesting, they may be officially implemented in future releases.

How to Enable the Beta Version:
1. Go to your Library and find the game.
2. Right-click on the game -> Properties.
3. Navigate to the Betas tab and select "alice_beta - public beta test".
4. Once downloaded, the game will run in Beta mode.

Beta Version Features:
- Periodic data wipes.
- 30,000 Alice Coins available.
- Unlock all items.
- Regular updates and bug fixes, which will be released to the stable version after testing.
- Experimental content and features.


The game is still in early development, with dozens to nearly a hundred changes made daily. There may be oversights that could lead to more issues, and we sincerely appreciate the community’s support in helping us improve the game. Thank you all for your assistance!

At least 200 fixes, summarized below.

Highlights:
- Fixed an issue where item damage was incorrectly transferred. This fix may make the late-game feel significantly more difficult, but this is the intended design. Please try it out and let us know if this difficulty level is acceptable. We are also experimenting with various difficulty adjustment mechanisms.
- Fixed the slow loading issue when switching levels.
- Added difficulty caps for each level.
- Changed the design of Takehime’s underwear.

Fixes & Updates:
1. Fixed an issue with player defeat state.
2. Attempted to fix reconnection issues and host transfer errors when the host disconnects.
3. Updated lighting and material effects on Shiba’s Q skill model.
4. Fixed client initialization process.
5. Updated some sound effects.
6. Fixed the lingering VFX issue with TV Dog’s skill.
7. Added new monster effects.
8. Adjusted the display name for "Rest Room" on the minimap.
9. Adjusted the results screen.
10. Attempted to fix Alice’s main attack issue and corrected one of her skill errors.
11. Updated English, Japanese, and Russian localization.
12. Fixed frame drop issues with certain monsters.
13. Fixed an error with enemy spawn limits.
14. Fixed some monster-related bugs.
15. Fixed the Exchanger item not having a pickup protection period for its owner.
16. Fixed certain achievement issues.
17. Adjusted the ice-skating area in Level 1-4.
18. The damage boost from the "Negan Bat" now only applies to [Normal] damage and no longer boosts all damage sources.
19. Fixed some items not functioning properly.
20. Attempted to fix a potential issue with Lea’s normal attacks.
21. Adjusted the facial color intensity of all characters.
22. Replaced the frozen trap tiles in Level 1-4.
23. Added player talent level display in the lobby.
24. Fixed certain PBR materials.
25. Updated skill damage ratio descriptions.
26. Updated descriptions for Fate Altar options.
27. Fixed an issue where a certain item did not grant gold and experience upon enemy kills.
28. Fixed a map issue in Level 1-4.
29. The Tab screen now displays players’ shield values.
30. Removed unused jump plates.
31. Updated UI for the lobby and room information.
32. Added sound effects for the lobby’s invite friend button.
33. Updated some item descriptions.
34. Fixed an issue where the item chest’s "open again" function failed to generate items.
35. Adjusted the functions of certain items.
36. Added a modified terrain version of Level 1-2.
37. Fixed an issue where flying enemies would sometimes get stuck.
38. Increased the shield amount of Ice Elite enemies from 30% -> 50%.
39. DOT damage numbers now have different visual effects.
40. Added more Boss Altar locations.
41. Adjusted the UI color of player health bars.
42. Updated the Credits List on the home screen, adding contributor nicknames.
43. Added controller vibration intensity settings to the options menu.
44. Adjusted various UI elements and descriptions.
45. Adjusted some in-game text strings.
46. Reworked the world map item function.
47. Reworked certain monster skills and effects.
48. Fixed an issue where an item could hit the player’s own shield.
49. Fixed a bug related to Boss battle events.
