Patch notes: V 2.2.20.173

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:


    - Reduced the sound of the core running.
    - Fixed the bug in the tutorial where it suggested to set the control rods to 0%.
    - Added the missing colliders on the walls under the fuel block depot.
    - Fixed the zoom behavior when activating the tablet.
    - Fixed the help text for FUEL LOADING BAYS.
    - Adjusted the action distance of the charge pump buttons.
    - Fixed the error when using the geiger counter and the tablet at the same time.
    - Fixed the wet AO error when starting the game.


This update is compatible with all previous savegames. If you're having trouble loading a saved progress, please let me know!

The game has been updated to version 2.0!

Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible. The good news is that Nucleares is now fully modular, which means we can start thinking about other reactor models! There are many improvements that didn’t make it into this update but are already in the works. They won’t be as big, and they won’t take as long, so hopefully, we’ll get back to weekly or biweekly updates.

Nucleares isn’t a super-realistic nuclear reactor simulator, nor does it aim to be. There are plenty of those on Roblox, and some are amazing—but none let you suit up in an anti-radiation suit and explore a functioning plant under the watchful eye of a robot with questionable intentions.

That said, I should mention that some of the changes in this version make the game a bit more complex. In previous versions, the steam generator pretty much balanced itself, and a single fuel block with a set of control rods was all you needed. That won’t be the case anymore. So please, take a look at the blog and the manual —it’ll save you a lot of headaches!

We ran a ton of tests and fixed a lot of bugs, but I won’t be surprised if new ones pop up once you start playing. The long-time players know how it goes: no matter how many bugs appear, they’ll all get fixed (sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but fixed nonetheless).

Patch notes: V 1.2.20.167

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:


    - Added option to overwrite saved progress.
    - Added self-lighting to the tablet, so the screen is visible even when there's no light.
    - Made some improvements to enhance player movement within the elevator.
    - Increased the movement speed of the elevators (when they are empty).

    - Fixed the bug of misaligned texts.
    - Fixed the bug with missing control rods controller.
    - Fixed the bug with the destroyed steam generator's visual effects.
    - Fixed the bug of "can exceed Primary Circuit Coolant Tank capacity with RCV valve".
    - Fixed the bug of music volume slider not reaching zero.

Patch notes: V 1.2.20.166

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:

  • Fixed the visual bug in the reactive core effect.
  • Fixed the bug that sometimes prevented generating a maintenance report.
  • Fixed the visual bug when using the elevator.
  • Fixed the bug of incorrect initial values for Boron.

Patch notes: V 1.2.20.165

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:

  • Added ladders.
  • Added a backup of the game configuration to avoid loss after an update whenever possible.
  • Modified the way the game manages changes in the graphical settings. Now a restart will be required if the changes cannot be applied. If the change is made while the game is running, the player will be notified that the changes will not take effect until the next restart.
  • Modified the icon representing the "Delete" action of the tablet save/load progress app.
  • Improvements and fixes were made to the webserver (thanks to GHXX).

  • Fixed the bug of the overloaded resistance banks alarm when the demand drops sharply.
  • Fixed the bug when storing a safety suit, where it disappeared from the container but could still be used.
  • Fixed the bug in the main menu, which sometimes had no music.
    v Fixed the bug with the ion column operating sound, which could be heard even if the column was not filtering anything.
  • Fixed the bug with text overlap in the tablet maintenance tasks app.

  • Added visual effects.
  • New external vessel and simulated water.
  • New underground access to the maintenance areas and control rod machinery.
