v0.2 UPDATE - SLEEPLESS NIGHTS - NOW AVAILABLE!

We've almost doubled the amount of animation content in the game! On top of that, due to popular demand, Izzy the Imp is now a fully playable character! We've also gone ahead and incorporated a bunch of other quality of life changes based off of feedback we've received- trying to sand down as many of the little annoyances as we can.

Furthermore, we've changed the way the sex animations are handled- they now play until the player chooses to stop them, and can also be interacted with by some characters. We hope this will allow you guys to better enjoy the content currently in the game, as well as empower you to come up with your own kinky scenarios and interactions between the characters!


While we had originally planned to introduce some new story content with this update- we've decided to delay Day 3 for a little bit, but for a good reason. We came up with an idea that will allow us to make the story more interactive, past simple visual novel choices. We will go into more detail about this in a future news post, but we're very excited to share what we've come up with!

Last but not least, the game will be discounted for the next week as a part of the Steam Winter Sale! If you were on the fence, or wanted to get the game for a friend, now is the time to do it! The other titles in the TinyHat adult games label will also be discounted, so go check those out too!

NOTE, old saves are not compatible with this update. We are working to make sure that we can get to a point where future updates will not require save wipes, but for the time being, new saves will be required for this update.

  • Over 16 new sex animations have been added

  • Izzy the Imp is now a fully playable character in the sandbox. Rejoice, imp lovers!
  • Paladin, Cleric, and Imp are now able to go on adventures and bring back loot
  • Consumables such as beer and love potions can be used twice before disappearing
  • Doors are temporarily disabled, to make navigating the tavern easier
  • Sex animations now stay active until players end them (they were previously on a timer)
  • Characters can choose to masturbate to nearby sexual activities
  • Group sex can be triggered by some characters when selecting a currently ongoing sexual activity

  • Overhauled gallery UI/presentation
  • Added the animation CGs to the gallery (they start unlocked for now)

Minor Patch 0.1.13

Ever since launch, we've been hard at work providing additional updates to the game! While we already released a glut of new additions/fixes/and changes in the first week- many of the things we've since had to tackle are more in the backend, and bigger infrastructure things, in order to better accommodate some of the ideas that were suggested, as well as some of the larger patches coming up. There is also a ton of stuff that we've made progress on, that we want to roll out as part of the larger 0.2 update coming in December- as the new content makes sense being released all together.

None the less- there are still some minor additions and changes that are playable now- with many more to come in the following month!

New Features:
  • - The Paladin now has a foreplay animation with Imp. This update addresses the issue where players were giving gems but receiving nothing in return.
  • - Added a new music track in Adventure mode.
  • - Introduced a new music track in the Gallery.
Fixes:
  • - Fixed an issue where some Gallery Imp entries were missing.
  • - Fixed Gallery UI not scaling with screen size.
Changes:
  • - Significant modifications have been implemented in backend systems, such as the save system, to facilitate future development and enable multiplatform releases.

Release Week Development Tracker

We're spending a lot of time this week continuing our game development grind and doing our best to take care of as many issues as we can, that people are bringing to us during the launch window. While in general we will be working on regular hotfixes and smaller updates between our major milestone goals- release/update windows usually have more feedback for us to directly address.

As such, instead of doing individual hotfix posts, I'll just be posting them all here in this thread, as we will likely have multiple smaller fixes and patches coming out this week.

Hotfix 0.1.12
  • New: Added support for group scenes in gallery
  • New: Initial Steamworks implementation with cloud saves for Story Mode and Gallery.
  • Fixed: Cleric, Ranger, Brute group scene soft locking the sandbox mode for the characters involved. The way group scenes are unlocked will change in the future.
  • Fixed: The missing Imp foreplay card from story mode is now added to Gallery.
  • Fixed: Gallery unlocking scenes players haven't yet discovered.
  • Fixed: Camera bounds showing the deep dark void at max zoom out in Sandbox mode.
  • Fixed: MainMenu 16:10 support
Hotfix 0.1.11
  • Fixed: Story Mode branching failing near the start of Day 2
  • Fixed: One of Day 1 dialogue choices not displaying correctly
  • Fixed: Gallery not being interactable on repeat loads
  • Fixed: Item trading between characters when both characters hold items. One of the items won't disappear into the ether anymore.
  • Fixed: Issues related to Follow Me interaction
  • Changed: Some of the missing Imp gallery entries have been added. Will be expanded in the future.
  • Changed: Only one character status effect can now be active at a time. (Horny = sex, drunk = foreplay)
  • Changed: Talking no longer triggers character status changes. (Holdover from previous design iteration, might be re-implemented in a more clear way in the future.)


Hotfix 0.1.10
  • Changed: Dialogue printer will show full text before skipping
  • Changed: Interaction menu from icons to text buttons
  • Changed: Flirt interaction becomes available only when status such as Drunk or Horny are active on the selected character

Early Access Release & Content Roadmap



Dungeon Tavern is now available in Early Access! The whole team is very excited not only to be able to share what we've been working on, but also to share our plans for the game's future!

Originally, we intended this project as a short but sweet experimental sandbox, a tribute to some of our favorite Japanese "animation unlocker" games. However, as we've worked on it, we realized the potential to use the base that we've developed to be able to tell a story of our own and to expand on the number of interactions possible in the sandbox.

As such we ended up making the decision to release the game in Early Access- so that we would be able to have the time and support needed to add our additional ideas to the game, but also to be able to collect feedback from the community, and possibly incorporate fan-favorite character archetypes and requested features!



As for the time being- launch is usually quite a volatile time in any game's life, and while the team and I have gone through the game several times in preparation for launch, no game is without it's bugs. We'll be staying on standby and keeping a close eye on the forums over the next couple of days, ready to crank out hotfixes if needed.

So make sure to drop by the Steam community or the TinyHat Studios Discord and interact with us! Even if you don't have any bugs to report, we're curious to hear what you guys think of the game and if you have any ideas you would like to see us add!
