"Portal Peril" update now LIVE!


Hey Commanders,

We have another update out now in time for the weekend!
We are adding another map, new quality of life features, sound and graphical improvements and the ability to observe skirmish/AI only battles!

We have more on the way for our new Survival Mode and the second campaign coming soon. Be sure to check out all of our games on sale during the Steam Summer Sale as well!

[h2]New Features[/h2]
  • Post-Game Observer Mode. Players can now remain as an observer in skirmish battles against AIs
  • New Map - Portal Peril (4p)
  • Bridges now can go over pits, in addition to cliffs and shallow/deep water. This should allow for more interesting map creations.
  • When placing forward HQ from mobile HQ, ghost model will persist until structure is deployed or placement is cancelled

[h2]Survival[/h2]
  • Enemies give score of 10xChapter per kill, owned units no longer subtract from score.
  • Balance updates based on player feedback. (Capped surge value increase. Increased time to first wave. Decreased time to subsequent waves. Increase wave strength increase.)
  • Scoring updated to give 10xWave per kill. Owned units no longer subtract from score.

[h2]Audio[/h2]
  • "Start" buttons now all play specific "mode launch" SFX when heading to the loading screen. Includes Campaign Select, Tutorial, Challenge, Skirmish (+MP), and Survival. Previously, some were missing.
  • Added missing ambient coastline wave SFX to shorelines of maps that were missing them.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fix for terrain editor nav mesh height levels setting not being initialized to the intended value.
  • Adjustment to mesh generation related to new land bridge logic for better compatibility with existing maps; in particular, there was an issue with air units pathing oddly in some cases.
  • Adjusting visibility height levels logic to return 1 at the minimum to fix a case of infantry swimming on land when the new land bridges functionality is enabled.

  • AI improvements around guarding their base.
  • Structure icon optimization.
  • Sentinels Engineer model & texture optimized.
